I would have given this place no stars this place is horrible I have been here twice in the last two weeks order honey walnut shrimp with fried rice today and the rice was hard the shrimp was refried they try to fool you and tell you that the food is fresh and just hand it out the window not knowing that some of us customers are Savvy about reheated food we know a few things about it as well as the hard rice as I walk in she was throwing out the rice as I walked up she stood there like she didn't know who it was who just left the drive-thru window and I asked her to come over and told her what the problem was she first wanted to put my shrimp in a container and then give me the rice in a separate container it was like she was not paying attention what I was saying I ordered rice and shrimp and that's what I should have gotten I shouldn't have got clumped up old rice thrown into my bowl and then to have to pull over come back in and to tell them what's wrong with it for her to have an attitude when I ask her to throw the ball away she going to tell me there is the garbage over there first of all I shouldn't have to throw my food away and as a courtesy you should want to throw it away and make it right they do not have good customer service skills not only here I've noticed that's a common theme throughout Arizona so beware not to eat at Panda Express on Market Street it is a total dump. Also she had nerve to ask me for a receipt I told her I'm not going back to my car to get a receipt you know I just paid for this and I made sure to speak up as loud as I could so the other customers could see how their food is being handled at the drive-thru it should be the same as front counter. My husband also made them aware that we would be bringing the food back if it was not fresh the manager claimed that the shrimp had just been cooked 2 minutes...
Read moreWhen you open a business in Gilbert- even if it's a chain- you run the risk of servicing the pettiest, bigoted and stuck up population in the east valley. Like, guys, some people are just not fortunate enough to work anywhere else and no one is perfect. Mistakes are the laws of life. Panda Express' food isn't perfect but it is not simply made, so not every location is going to match 100%. Lets think about this and look at their model: a batch of each entree is prepared each morning and fresh batches are not made until the initial is sold out. You expect them to just halt every other function in the restaurant just to serve you? But even if they did, people would still complain about how slow they are. And let's think about this: This is right across the street from a mall, and is also in the plaza of a HUGE center of businesses: banks, other restaurants, a Walmart AND a Sam's club, among other things. These people at panda are usually teams of 6-7 people and super speed doesn't exist. Fast food isn't an industry: it's moral slave labor. So next time you're at a panda and are complaining about your petty hatred of not having a side of sauce, ask yourself of the person you got the order from has enough care left in them to not jump off a bridge.
Also, even if you're getting there before 10:00 and not getting served quickly, remember that these people have lives just like you and I, and are tired from working all day. Cut them a break. If the light is off, they're closed. Try and run a fast food joint. I dare you.
And you know what ? I know Panda isn't legit Chinese food. But if I want some orange chicken, I know...
Read moreDecided to go here to grab dinner last night and let me just say it was THE absolute worse Panda express we have EVER had. Not only did they miss a majority of our food items but when we finally did get to sit down and eat it was DISGUSTING! We went thru the drive thru around 7:45 and ordered around $30 worth of food, took the 20 minute drive home only to find that HALF of our order was missing! Upon discovering this I called Panda 3 times to which no one answered. So we hopped back in the car and took another 20 minute drive back to Panda. Funny thing is.... I called the 3rd time while just 2 minutes away and we pull in expecting it to be packed but it was EMPTY! So what was the reason why no one was answering the phone??? There was even ANOTHER vehicle ahead of us who had to return because the SAME THING had happen to them! All the woman could do was say "sorry about that" instead of trying to work something out.... I explained to her that we live 20 minutes away! We were on our way home initially from phoenix and we live in Queen creek!! Nope! She didn't offer any coupons or partial refund or anything! When we finally get home to eat... My steamed rice was hard and dry, the Kung pao chicken tasted like rubber, the orange chicken was hard, and all the egg rolls and crab rangoons were old and hard. For you... The fast food workers... You want $15/ hour???? This is exactly why you will NEVER obtain that!! I will be contacting the manager in the morning and hope that I can either get a refund or...
