If you’re l👀king for authentic tasting Thai food, this isn’t it. The four plus star reviews online brought us way out of our way to try Ta Lew Thai Bistro. Unfortunately, this American style Thai food does not taste like authentic Thai. With that said, the restaurant was completely empty when I arrived. The staff, however, was pleasant and the food was already prepared and ready-to-go. The restaurant appeared clean as well. Back to the food. I gave this restaurant three stars instead of two, because I can tell they made an effort to make the food well (food presentation and cleanliness) it’s just not authentic or flavorful. The orange chicken was the least liked of the four entrees ordered. The flavor of the orange chicken sauce was unique, different from other restaurants I’ve tried, and didn’t taste good. The chicken was also a little hard to chew. The combination fried rice had unusually large pieces of broccoli and it too was lacking authentic flavor. On a positive note, the pad Thai tasted okay and was the best of the four items ordered, costing $51 in total. I would have liked to rate this restaurant four stars because the staff was nice and the food was clean, but based on this being a Thai restaurant, the food not tasting like authentic Thai food, and the entrees lacking flavor, three stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️ was the most I could rate Ta Lew Bistro. If the Thai food you prefer doesn’t have to taste totally authentic, consider giving Ta Lew Thai...
Read moreSo I just had the displeasure of talking to a person by the name of Tiki. I may have spelled the name wrong but my issue was that I ordered tom yum soup and was given Tom kha soup. The person I spoke with last night was extremely cordial and understood and said it was not a problem at all just to call the next day and order what I wanted and it would be made for free. When I called tonight to order my food that was owed to me, that I didn't get to enjoy last night and that I was not offered a refund for in any way shape or form. The person Tiki said she was the one that made it packed it and she can show me on the camera that it was made the correct way however contradicted herself on the ingredients multiple times and was very condescending was laughing at my issue literally said let's get over it and I will prove to you I made you the right thing last night when it clearly was not correct because what I ordered is not made with coconut milk and what I received was completely made with coconut milk which I'm allergic to and she was extremely rude I will never go back to this location. Horrible experience. I am still so aggravated I...
Read moreThis was our first time and we were pleasantly surprised. We really enjoyed the food and service was top notch. The main dinning area is small and definitely could be crowded. Fortunately for us it was not busy. I and my son share the pineapple fried rice with pork and the pork mussamun. The pineapple fried rice was an absolute favor with the whole family. It was very flavorful. Mussamum was also very good. We really enjoyed it. The portions are enormous and we had to take them home. We ordered the #3 spice which was more on the mild side then most thai places. My wife order the yellow curry. It also was very good but she did not like it as well as another place we go to. But I think she likes her's with more coconut milk. This does not seem to have that traditional flavor she was use to. My daughter had the chicken satay. This was exceptional. The two sauces were a great complement to the chicken. The chicken was most and cooked just right. This type of Thai food is more fusion so it is not neccessary traditional Thai flavored. We do not live in the area but we will be back. 45 minute drive...if you like creative Thai this is...
