Peixoto Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in Gilbert

I asked for one of their in house roasted bean rich savory coffees like I have experienced at their Chandler location. What I received was a lack luster watery somewhat tasteless coffee. I was so disappointed /;o( You asked me to respond by expanding my message. You left no return toggle on your response for me to do that. The only option I have is to edit my original message. Here is my additional response. The coffee I received was terrible. I told the Barista that I wanted the same rich aroma coffee made from your in house beans that I had at the Chandler location. She responded that they were making a drip coffee that was what I wanted. The person I was with received their coffee immediately. I waited approximately ten minutes for my coffee. I walked up to the counter and asked the Barista when my coffee would be ready. She said they were making right now. I waited another five minutes and it was finally ready. However, the coffee was extremely watery with little or no distinctive taste. It tasted like drip coffee where they did not put enough coffee in to make it taste...

Peixoto is without question the best coffee roaster I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. They talk about "crop to cup" and walk the walk, with Julia's (Peixoto) family supplying the beans directly from Brazil. Her husband has an engineering background and brings science to the roasting process, allowing them to consistently deliver outstanding Coffee. They have the ability to provide coffee in all the brew methods that highlight the origins of the coffee, and drinking black you will appreciate the nuances of each type and brew. I cannot say enough good things about this shop. The baristas are all knowledgeable and friendly.

I have gone to the ends of the earth looking for a coffee shop like Peixoto and after years of failing (despite living in coffee central, ie Seattle), I turned to roasting my own beans and purchased a commercial 1 kilo roaster shortly after. I love this place! I come every time I’m in town. BUT. I gave 3 stars because of the horrendous customer service I just received. They gave me a hot pour over instead of iced & this green/blue haired “new girl” with glasses had the AUDACITY to say right in front of my face, “she didn’t say that.” Excuse me, what???? You can’t talk about a customer like that right in front of them. I made my concerns known to the woman making my coffee, who reassured me she is “new” and she will talk to her because that was, in fact, quite inappropriate. But a high value establishment like this needs high value people working there, & this green/blue haired woman is not it. That comment demonstrates her character is not suitable for customer service, especially since she was dumb enough to say it in front of me. I thought management needed to be aware of her behavior so it can be fixed or better yet, she can find a better job...
