The employees at this location need to have more customer service training. Not one employee came up to the front counter to take an order for quite some time. They never apologized for the delay in service. I started placing my order by asking for a pack of 4 cookies and I was immediately just told what the total was. This was a total turnoff as we indeed wanted to order more but it seemed we were an inconvenience to the girls working and was just rushed to pay. While we were waiting for our order two girls walked in and were immediately greeted by a team member who customers and myself quickly recognized were friends. The team member and the two girls talked at the register for quite some time and were even handed their cookies at the register. They still remained talking to one another with no awareness that another customer was waiting behind them for several minutes even the team member talking about how sweaty she was and showing the girls the front of her shirt. Lastly, customers that ordered after me were getting their drinks and cookies before I ever did so, I walked closer to the counter and waited even more time. Finally the same girl that took my order said what are you waiting on? I was in shock because not only did the girl that’s asking take my order at the register but I only ordered cookies so that would be the only thing I’m waiting on. I have had twisted sugar delivered several times but this was quite upsetting to see that this is the behavior and customer service you get when you go in person to the store. Seemed more of a hangout spot for the employees than a place to get a sweet treat on a Friday night for customers. And to the owner that does not respond positively to the negative reviews on here, only to the ones that are positive reviews, please don’t waste your time even responding to this as actions truly speak lower than words. I’ve always loved going to twisted sugar, it's my favorite drink place! But tonight I went and the service was just weird and awful. We walked into the place and three employees were loudly laughing and screaming to each other. They did not calm down once we approached the counter. It was almost like my friend and I were interrupting their fun. Then, the male employee kept rudely interrupting and telling jokes to the girl trying to take my order. To the point where I almost had to tell him to stop so she could hear me give my order. He kept screeching this super loud screech! It was so strange! My friend and I were appalled and embarrassed for him. Normally, I'm tolerant of young workers because I know they're learning, but he was incessant and it was earsplitting! I almost walked out before I got my order. It was unbearable. All the employees kept laughing and joking together as though they were in on some joke that we were the butt of and it was very awkward for us, the customers. I love the locations in the west valley and frequent them often. My daughter lives nearby here and this is our second time to this specific location. I’m on the fence between 3 and 4 stars only because of service. It is not very friendly and a bit slow here on orders both times we’ve come. Each time the employee taking orders seems unhappy to be there and it shows . There’s no real hello, can I help, any questions etc. now cookies and drinks are another story. Everything is so good and flavorful. They don’t offer warm cookies so keep that in mind if you enjoy that. This location offers many ice cream flavors while others in surprise and suck don’t do more than vanilla I believe. You can earn points here with a phone number so that is a bonus if you come often. The location is small, but does offer a small area for seating if you wanted to enjoy it there. The banana cream pie cookie is my all time fave and then the crinkle is not far behind.
