Thanks A Brunch is my new favorite lunch spot. After 3 visits and 4 entrées, I realized that one item after another is delicious.
Thanks A Brunch is located in the southwest quandrant off of McQueen and Guadelupe roads in Mesa. Obviously, it is a brunch kitchen. But its food is so tasty you will want to try it any time they are open. The location is a new spot, having just opened in October. I call the decor "home spring fresh" for the GenX women and younger tastes who like the look of bathroom homeyness with cute, dried flower vases to mark your order number. It's all very warm and comforting, but still serious enough to be a restaurant.
The food, as I said, is special and worth a visit. My first meal at Thanks A Bunch was the Hollan-daze in Phoenix Burger, an acclaimed award winning version of a bacon cheese burger. This was absolutely excellent - the best burger I have had in the last 15 years. The next day, I had the Classic Breakfast Burrito, which was surprisingly fresh, savory, and delightful. On another visit, I tried the Smash Breakfast Burger, which was a delicious collage of flavors, including the delightful egg that compliments the smashed crispiness of the burger edges. Finally, the last entrée I tried was the Green Chili Breakfast Tacos, which were another homerun. No matter your interest, if you like vibrant flavors that are served fresh and hot with unique and wonderful taste, you will love Thanks A Brunch.
Prices are reasonable, and the menu is focused but extensive for a brunch pallet.
The staff is absolutely wonderful, helpful and kind. You order your food at the counter, and they bring it hot to your table. The staff that took my order was kind and answered my questions. I even had the opportunity to meet the chef and owner, who clearly loves making her signature dishes for people who enjoy food.

Read moreI find breakfast places to be truly hit and miss. Discovering a truly notable spot can often feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. Given that breakfast is such a common daily ritual, enjoying it outside of home demands something outstanding or unique. As we walked into Thanks A Brunch and approached the counter, we were immediately greeted by owner Haiden Seipert. As first-timers, she took her time with us, patiently explaining and answering any questions we had. That initial unease you might feel when entering an establishment for the first time dissipated, and we immediately felt at ease. We placed our order, grabbed a nice booth, and eagerly awaited our tasty treats.
I opted for the Sausage Breakfast Tacos, and I couldn't stop talking about them. With every few bites, I found myself raving to my wife about how delicious they were and how the flavors perfectly melded together. It was truly surprising, exceeding any expectations I had. The corn tortilla tacos were generously stuffed with scrambled eggs, sausage, chipotle sauce, pickled onions, and cilantro. The house potatoes served alongside were outstanding—no doubt freshly made, they were the best breakfast potatoes I’ve ever had.
I loved the interior ambiance of the restaurant; it was clean, modern, slightly contemporary, and exuded a chill, easy-going vibe. My favorite touch was the music—they were playing my kind of music. I never imagined having breakfast while listening to Green Day; it's pretty unique and cool, in my opinion.
Being situated in a plaza, parking is typical of what you'd find in a smaller plaza setting. It's amusing that my fellow Yelp friend, Diane M, also visited Thanks A Brunch on the same day. There's definitely something to be said about foodies uncovering these hidden gems. I know this is one place I'll definitely...
Read moreWhile chatting with a great friend up in Idaho a while back she asked if I’d been to Thanks A Brunch on any of my food adventures in the East Valley. She let me know how great it was when in Idaho. I was meeting my daughter in the area this morning so we took it as a great opportunity. When I say, “Why did I wait so long?” It’s a definite understatement. This location sits in an unassuming strip mall next to a Dutch Bros. Once inside while only a limited amount of seating the service was phenomenal instantly. We were greeted, asked if we’d been on, she went over the menu and specials. All with a smile. We felt welcomed and appreciated. When you enter you walk into not only an electronic menu on the wall, but actual menus on the counter where you order, are given a number and given a number. You can seat where ever is available. Drinks are soft serve sodas, but coffee options are also available etc and they will be brought out. Today we tried the elote avocado toast to share, breakfast bacon fries, and a ham and Gouda sandwich on their specials menu. Of course when I saw a cold brew option I had to take it especially when also paired with another special …banana foster cold foam on top of it. SOLD! everything came out quickly . I questioned my daughter if I’d like the Elote Avocado Toast, but man was I wrong it was amazing. We did order it sans the hot honey since my daughter doesn’t like it. We weee checked on throughout the meal as well. The location was clean, great lighting and the music playing I loved. If you don’t want breakfast they also serve burgers and such all day as well. Want a burger for breakfast? Get it here. Great first impression, even better food and I can’t wait to come back. Come to the West Valley....
