Albertano's Mexican Food — Restaurant in Gillette

When they are on their game the food is very good but unfortunately there is no consistency. I stopped going because you never know what you’re going to get and when it’s bad it’s real bad and I feel ripped off. And unfortunately more often than not, it is real bad. Here lately the only consistency is that the refried beans are bland and disgusting. I’ve tried it here and there just to see if there has been improvement but every time I was disappointed. I don’t understand. Then there is the fact that they will put just anybody on the dowager taking orders. There are language barriers, they put men on the speaker with zero enthusiasm or ppl skills whatsoever. I’ve just been going to places like Dairy Queen where I know every time what I’m going to get and no anxiety, no hoping it’s good this time , it’s the same every time and that’s what Albertanos lacks. . I used to get anxious just hoping it was all good so I didn’t waste my money and now I just don’t go at all. It’s too bad because they can ever good but zero consistency it’s like the way things are done depend on who’s doing it instead of one set way and everyone does it that way. Done days you’ll get cheese on your main course or your jeans or rice and others you won’t. Some days you’ll get two smaller flour tortillas some days you’ll just get one big one and it nay have a big ass hole like last time. Some days meat tastes like it was cooked on a girl others like it was boiled in water and cooked in an electric skillet....

Place clean inside a gas station. They open 24 hrs which is great Food seems precooked (beef fajita meet) They get your food immediately. Considering the town and that we are far away from Mexico is not too bad. There is value for your money! Hot sauce is tasteless they don’t put garlic or onions is just flavorless and too much water. Depending the day and cook you can get a big plate or a small plate. Beer costs as much as a soft drink, and all the beer costs the same! They really make it look like they have a bunch of plates but they just make small variations. Bistec ranchero is a total lie They just put pico de Gallo in it and that’s it, some of the names don’t really represent. The plate this one sounds tasty because it has 3 eggs but once again meat has been precooked and they didn’t season meat with tomato that’s how the ranchero beef comes! As a person who was born and raised in L.A. Mexican food is very, very important to me. In opinion the best Mexican food in the world comes from los angeles. Moving to Gillette a year ago my heart was crushed that there wasn't a single decent taco shop anywhere around. It wasn't until I found Albertanos that I actually thought I might be able to survive in this town, Alahandro's is actually pretty good too but I need those authentic east L.A. tasting tacos. Thank God this place is here! I didn't find it for a while because it was in a gas station but don't let that perturb you. It's 100% legit. My kid loves going too and playing outside. The service is so good it's ridiculous, these guys are such sweethearts and obviously love what they do, as they should. Thank you guys for being here, you mean so much to me and my family.
