Ordered 2 caldo de Rez . Beef stews. When my friend got hers, I could tell that I was not gonna like it. It did not have corn, cabbage, or zucchini. Those items are usually essentially in that meal. The waitress Giselle was wonderful, but since she was eating her lunch, another young lady brought us a meal. Before my meal with that on the table, I told her young lady that I did not want that after all that I changed my mind. She told me that I was gonna have to pay for it because I ordered it. I told her that I would like to speak to the manager or the owner. She very unpolitely told me that the owner was here and that was her grandfather. I said that was fine. The person who is her grandfather/owner came and told me that not everybody makes the same type of beef stew. That if every restaurant made exactly the same type, people would be bored. And that he cannot possibly make everybody like his food. And that if I didn’t like it, I could do whatever I wanted. At that point I was hoping to just get up and leave but I didn’t wanna be such a mean person I told him that I’ve had Restaurant in my life for many years and in my family as well. He says I don’t care about that and if you don’t like my food, you know what you can do about it .. VERY RUDE ! Both Owner n Grandaughter. I did order two enchiladas with rice and beans after that only ate half of it because the only thing I cared for was the beans nothing else excuse me I need to remind you that I did like a chips and salsa. Nonetheless, I will never go back there again. Very...
Read moreThis place is great. It’s family owned, the vibes are welcoming and friendly, and the food is delicious, huge portions, and cheap.
You order at the counter and then find a table outside, and they’ll bring you out your food. They also start you off by bringing you some fresh chips and salsa, which had a good amount of kick to it but wasn’t overly spicy.
My partner got the Chile Verde Fat Burrito and it was really great—loved the amount of variety you could get with burritos. It’s about the size of your face and so well priced for how much food it is.
I got the Chico Platter Taco with Carne Asada and it was similarly delicious, and very filling. The beans on my plate were probably my favorite part. Never sleep on the beans.
We also ordered the guacamole for 5$ and the portion was small admittedly, but that was FRESH guacamole and you could taste it. If you’re hankering for guac, I would recommend it.
Good food, good prices, good people,...
Read moreTerrible service, disorganized area, ok food. We sat down as a group of 4, got chips and salsa which were great. Waitress took our order, and off she went. 25 mins later we finally started getting our food, but out of the four of us who ordered, exactly none of us got what we ordered. They completely forgot to make 2 of our orders. We were so confused that we just took the food they did bring us. When the waitresses asked us what we ordered for a third time, they made it seem like it was some how it fault for screwing up the order. Anyway, finally got the food and ate. after we were done we sat for 10 mins, clearly done, and finally grabbed a waitress too ask for a box, we never got one. And lastly, when we went to pay, it took nearly 15 mins for the cashier to figure out how much we owed, using a hand held calculator.... I have no idea if we were charged correctly or not. Disappointing dinner at an authentic...
