That was the worst experience in a Mexican restaurant ever! Casa Grande used to be good! We should have turned around when we walked into an empty place at 5:15... Unfortunately we stayed! The tortilla chips were inedible for me, but my husband was able to eat some covered up with salsa. They were probably three or four day old tortillas cooked in really old oil. Gross! But we ordered. The waiter couldn't even get the order right. They put squeeze cheese on the taco salad even though it was ordered with shredded. The tacos that I ordered a la carte he brought with beans and rice. The tortillas weren't cooked all the way and the meat was dry. I at least ate the meat, but couldn't touch the tortillas more than a bite or two. My husband ate the salad, but it was terrible. Even the beans were yucky. When the waiter finally came back, we told the waiter that it was terrible and could we speak to a manager. He laughed at us! What?? We told him not to laugh at us and again asked for the manager, he said he would tell the kitchen. He then brought the bill to the table. My husband told him we weren't paying full price for that he still didn't off the manager, so my husband asked if it was OK to not pay anything. The waiter said YES! Wait, what?? We are truly in the twilight zone! So, he asked are you sure it's ok to just leave. He said yes again, so we left! That's just crazy! We certainly weren't going to pay full price, but never would have left it like that without the waiter saying it was fine twice! Hopefully we don't get sick, it really...
Read moreOk, we’ve been going for forever to this branch. Glad they added the taco bowl- it’s very tasty but without the heat, which I can’t handle anymore. But the last couple of times, the initial service was quick, but the food service was really slow. 20 minutes for basic menu items? And now the condiments aren’t on the table- not even salt and pepper, much less sweet and low, sugar or taco sauce(husband likes). And the utensils and napkins are in a container on the table, not brought by the hostess like before. With mischief in grocery stores making you question the reliability of utensils being tampered with, not comfortable with this new arrangement. No, we won’t steal your salt and pepper but don’t like asking for it and also having to ask for extras with unsweet tea. So, we are going to some of the other Mexican restaurants around, and maybe we won’t have these issues. It makes us sad this has happened. Don’t know what changed (new owners?) but it is not an...
Read moreHorrible, Horrible, Will never go back. We use to go frequently but over the last year or so, establishment has gone way down. They don't care if they can't get an order right and don't try to fix it when done wrong. Employees talk Spanish right in front of you to each other which is very rude especially since when taking the order they act like they know what you are saying. The new Rico Mexican place in Mechanicsville is much better, one of Casa Grande old employees went out on his own and his food awesome! The employees are able to communicate with the general public and even though this isn't really a factor, the price is better too. Casa Grande has a lot to be desired . I may rate it a 1 even though my last meal consisted of just nachos because the cheese dip was pretty good. This rating is not so much about the food but the service, and the management. This posting is not being posted by Butch Johnson but...
