Wow! What an amazing lunch we had! A GIANT secret hidden in the Marley Station Mall.. Thelma’s Kitchen is truly a delight for the tastebuds! Named after Monique’s Grandmother, (I’m sure she is so proud of you! 💖) My hubby agreed to try something new, and we were with friends, Miss Janice, Aloha Rick and his entourage!! 2pm gathering.. hubby got the Catfish with Candied Yams and Rice and beans. Portions were plentiful! He devoured it in record time! Raved the whole time. I got the Jerk Chicken Bowl with ALL the toppings! Delicious, so filling! The chicken was so moist! Everything was so fresh! We wanted to try the Crab Rolls with a spicy dipping sauce.. 😍 OMG! The flavor!!! cheesy, CRAB was sooo good! We also had to try the Coco bread.. only three ingredients and this was so fresh, warm and yummy! 😋 I also tried the fresh squeezed Pineapple and Ginger drink.. so refreshing!! We were so full that we didn’t get to try the Banana Pudding or Funnel Cake. We will be back! DO NOT recommend. Terrible customer experience. Long story short my order was wrong, no problem people make mistakes. What was a problem was the nasty attitude and dismissive rude behavior from the immature fair skinned girl claiming to be the manager. She basically crashed out because SHE messed up. Since when is sour cream a “sauce” smh. After telling me it would be 25 minutes I politely declined and asked for my money back. She said there were no refunds. No refunds for an error you made and food I didn't touch? Is that even reasonable ? No other solutions were offered besides being unaccountable and pointing blame at a paying customer and “have a nice day ma’am” She was so mad she was shaking! I was so baffled 🥴. She was so mad that I asked for my money back she was even holding the food I did pay for captive. SMH. To the real business owners, your food is amazing but no matter how good a product is, a business will not sustain with bad customer service. And to the cashier, manager/ food cooker whoever you are. The only reason I gave it two stars is because prior to my order I ordered a beef patty and coco bread which was pretty good I later decided to place a order for oxtail and lamb chops which both came with two sides total came to $67. I did not mind paying the money but when I got the food I was highly disappointed. my husband lamb chops where raw and the portion sizes were small for what we paid now I understand the portion size of the oxtails and lamb chops bc their expensive by their self but the sides were skimp. I spoke with the manager I was told that the lamb chops were safe to eat because she temp checked them one by one and the oxtail was fatty and the rice and peas were dry. I requested a refund for everything bc I was no longer interested after being turned off with a loss of appetite I was told that they do not offer refunds but I could order something else but they're low on sides. I declined the offer and just decided to trashed the food throwing 67 dollars down the drain .
