Not from the area so I cannot confidently say whether or not these apartments are overpriced. However, I can confidently say that, at least in my particular building (that I've since moved away from over a year ago), they are roach infested. You could have the cleanest, most spotless apartment, the edges of your walls peppered with boric acid to murder the evil hellspawn, and yet they will still be everywhere. I suppose I had filthy neighbors? I will never know. All I knew is that the nasty, tiny monster invaders were constantly around. If I had lived there any longer, I would've started naming them in an effort to stop myself from going completely nuts. I'm not the pickiest person, seriously, but I can't handle living with an infestation. I have to give these apartments credit, though. Thanks to them I learned exactly the type of place I do not want to live. Maybe, in another building that wasn't infested, I would've been fairly comfortable. It's just a shame that in order to do laundry you'll have to go into your building's basement and shell out some change. That's not too terrible though, I knew I was signing up for that part, at least.
I've noticed other reviewers complained about the leasing office staff. Personally I had no issue with them. Honestly, if you are a polite person in general, believe it or not people tend to act the same way in return. They weren't the most enthusiastic staff in the world, but I don't know why that should be held against them. These aren't luxury condos.
In the end, I would've found this place almost bearable if I didn't have to wage endless war against my roach overlords that ruled over my particular building. You think I'm exaggerating, but I seriously developed this mixture of both hatred and fear of roaches because of this place. One night while falling asleep, one ran across my face and woke me up. I spent the entire night hunting and ending them. From now on, seeing even one single roach in my living space has me panicked, worried, and ready to fight back. I straight up developed a phobia. So that's pretty cool. Either keep looking around for an apartment complex with higher quality standards or raise your budget on apartments if you can afford it. Unless you like roaches. Then this...
Read moreWe recently moved out due to family circumstances, but we were in our 2nd year lease. I'll address a few of the issues I see others mentioning. First, the mice. We had one but the complex brought a company in to plug every mouse hole in the entire complex. And I say every wall because every resident had to move everything away from the walls for the company to find the holes. Problem solved. The parking is next. We lived in the very back and we were always able to find a parking spot. It's possible people coming home at 3am might have issues and have to park a bit further away than normal but we never had an issue. Make sure you have your sticker on your windshield and have your guests get that guest pass because the towing company doesn't mess around. We had a washer and dryer in our unit ( which was awesome btw) so we never had to mess with the laundry rooms. The walls are up next. You can hear people if they are being loud...it's an apartment. But normal talking, we never heard any of our neighbors, and we lived between the 1st and 3rd floors. Maintenance was easy to request through the app and handled issues quickly. With regard to unruly neighbors, if there's an issue, let the office know. They will take care of it. Very nice and helpful staff as well. Noise from Rt 10 was pretty loud but you get used to it pretty quickly. That's really the worst of it. Not being able to sleep with our windows open because of that traffic. Our utility bill was never over $160 and we always had the heat or AC going. We had the 2 bed 1 bath and it was honestly as big as the last house we rented. Very roomy! Bedrooms are down a hallway, not right off the living room which was a huge plus for me being a night owl as I could watch TV without waking anyone. We really enjoyed living there and would absolutely live there again. Especially the back building with all the trees. So nice to sit on the balcony and drink coffee...
Read moreThis place IS GROSS! If I could give a negative star I would...the roaches are the WORST! We should've known...two nights before we moved in we came in to clean the apartment (which smelled terribly of floor wax bc they DUMPED wax on the dirty floor, trapping old hair and dirt under the new wax...we had to leave the windows open to air it out bc it was soooooooo bad) and we were sitting out in the porch and a roach was crawling on the outside wall. We came back the next day and bombed the place and placed a roach barrier as a precaution...but guess what...they didn't go away. I can only imagine what it would've been like had we not placed the barrier!! Blehhh! So that was a quarterly thing...placing a roach barrier around the house and that crap is dangerous!
Not only the gross floors and the even more disgusting roaches but the dumpsters are across the parking lot so if you have a lot of trash bags or heavy bags...you're screwed! Oh and the laundry facility has a "door code" well, the codes are never changed, so past tenants could stroll in as they please...but the "door code" doesn't even work! The storage units are chicken wire and they have been pried into many, many times. Some tenants have placed a tarp on the inside walls so others can't see what they're storing. We had ours broken into and had our 8 person tent stolen. Also as far as the laundry facility goes, there are 2 washers and 2 driers for 2 buildings...yep, they're connected, so that's 2 washers and driers for 24 units total! So don't be surprised if you go to do laundry and they're taken OR if you're lucky enough to get an open washer or dryer, don't be upset when another tenant will remove your clothes from the washer and/or the dryer for you!! Sorry for such the long post but I feel that people looking for a place to rent should know exactly what they're getting into with this place! We're moving outta this place in a week and I...
