I am extremely DISGUSTED and DISAPPOINTED in the way Value City has treated me and displayed lack of integrity with my purchase. Words can not explain how I truly feel and there for, I left no stars upon this review. I have experienced not 1 but 2 incidents where Value City has neglected to treat me with integrity. The first incident was with a salesman name Dan, who tried to open a new account with an order when I said I was ONLY adding on to the account I already had open. When I called Value City later that week, the order NEVER existed, how so? He tried to swindle me for a sale, I had to cancel the order and go through HELL with customer service and the manager of the store. The second incident recently happened, I was told that my pickup was scheduled for the 21st of December. I called on the 21st and they confirmed that my whole order was ready for pickup, I told them I would be coming in the following day on the 22nd. Now, prior to me going in the next day I received a phone call informing me that some of my order was there. I go in the next day ONLY TO FIND OUT that my order is not at the warehouse AND NOT ONLY THAT, my order IS OUT OF STOCK ?!?!?! How is that possible? Am I dreaming? Am I stupid? Am I crazy?
No one cared to communicate or even consider the fact that I HAVE BEEN MAKING PAYMENTS ON THESE ITEMS ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT IT IS OUT OF STOCK. I have waited and waited and accommodated to Value City but obviously they DO NOT VALUE your money, time, financial circumstances, and even worse your name. I refuse to let a company have my name floating into the system via CREDIT. This is a prime example why people go crazy and do terrible acts of violence towards one another. Instead of me reacting out of anger I have to accept the fact that Value City has not only ruined NOT 1, NOT 2, BUT 3 holidays in my household because they lack integrity of prioritizing my purchase and delivering my items to my home in a timely and reasonable manner. The store manager was flabbergasted as well, he say everything with his two eyes on that black and white paper. Just as confused and twisted in the wind as I was— so was he … what happened to my order that cost thousands of dollars? Value City should be ashamed and embarrassed to even hold such name as a company. Value City? You mean “Scam City”.
⚠️ I WARN YOU ALL ⚠️ If you do not want to look like a fool in your household PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not waste your time doing business with Value City, they will embarrass you, confuse you, play politics with you, and even inform you of your order delay last minute. You are better off shopping on Amazon or somewhere else because you will actually get your order and you can track your order throughout the whole process. Value City should be out of business start January 1, 2024 … now that would be a perfect gift from Santa to Me since Value City ruined 3 holidays in a row for me.

The Store manager and assistant store manager definitely should find a new job customer service they are horrible at. There warehouse and delivery are very off on there inventory and delivery date scheduled in the store. I hope the actual corporate reads this and fires both manager as they are really no help at all and ignorant.
I purchased $3,800 for a desk, bookcase, and storage case scheduled for delivery on Jan 7th. Stayed home all day not one call try to call customer service for delivery never received a call and no one answered. I called the store glen burnie location no one answered left messages and no one called back. Finally I get a call 2 days later from delivery says they are deliver the items today. I wasn't home and no one was going to be there, the lady was like well there is a $50 reschedule fee I had to pay. I called glen burnie no answer and no call back. 3 days later I get a call from glen burnie desk is no longer in stock, bookcase is back ordered but might not be in stock, storage desk no longer in stock. So I went to white marsh too see what they had the items glen burnie had were the same there but white marsh already said they been pulled and offer me the floor model, I told him I had to go back to Glen burnie to figure this out. Which at the same time the sales team at white Marsh said sorry the logistics at Value City warehouse is ridiculous. I went to glen burnie they now tell me I can buy floor model because nothing else was in stock I ordered. The mangers had attitudes the whole time like I was trying to get something for free. Which I wasn't but this now took a day of work, atleast 10hours back and forth with stores and he was like I will give floor model for discount nothing extra, it was there regular clearance price. I need a bigger new desk so I said ok. Now delivery again I been home all day. Called the store at 10am no answers, called again no answer at store then I was sent to a lady in Ohio which was great but even she couldn't get a hold of the store. At 11:20am I get a text driver is expected between 12-1pm today it is now 4pm and no delivery. Called the store again and a girl picked the phone up which can't get me a time or has no answer on delivery. This has been the worse experience with a furniture company i ever had. Read moreI came in last week with my 3 children. About 5 people were working. A woman named Barbara was the only one who greeted me and right away pointed me to the clearance section which I did not ask for. I was looking at a large couch that was about $1600. She walked about to me, gave me her card, told me that the couch had no special discounts and again, pointed me to clearance. A woman named Sharice came to me and asked me what I was looking for. I told her that my husband and I were closing on a home soon and needed to furnish everything. She said " Ok well look around some and come talk to me when you're ready. She saw me looking at a few things and came to ask if I liked any of it and to let me know that a lot of it came in different styles and colors." I told her that I could not buy today because I haven't closed yet but I see a lot that I like. She gave me her card and said to call her or text her pics while were closing so she could look into some pricing for me. She answered every call and was extremely sweet and laid back. There was an older white man that was going to greet me but instead walked away when he saw my children run up. Sharice was the only person who was genuinely nice to me and the next week after we closed on our home She helped me pick out ALL of the furniture for me house and made a few accommodations for pillow colors and dresser styles. I appreciate Sharice and would not have purchased from value city otherwise.
Update: 5/1 After the back and forth with a few staff member about a rip in my couch that was supposed to be resolved on 4/27, was not resolved, a manager named Christine Gray reached out to me and fixed my issue. I was told that a new cushion would take 6-8 weeks but she expedited it for me. I was told that a service tech would be out on 4/26. He never came and I was so upset. She knew that and was able to calm me, assure me that this would be taken care of and then took care of it. My biggest issue was the communication. No one was following up or updating me along the way. She fixed all of that and I'm back happy again.

I just want to pay my bill. I have been trying to pay it for 3 days now but can't pay on Synchrony and no one at the store can help me. I hate having to leave a nasty review just to get someone's attention to help me. That's not fair to me or the team members who do not deserve...
