Nice decor when we walked in. Our waitress was very nice and good at her job. Very happy with the service. The fried pickles were very different from the traditional fried pickles but they were very tasty. They have like a sweet dusting them put on the outside of the breading that contracts with the salty pickles and then you dip into a poblano ranch which has just a little kick of spice. We also got the sausage pretzel appetizer and it was good. The honey mustard was sweet with like a Wasabi kick to it that would tickle your nostrils if you ate too much at a time. The cheese fondue was not as thick as I like but still good. The sausage was cooked well and there were lots of juices oozing when cut into. The pretzel roll was salty but not too salty and it was good with the sauces and sausage. I ordered the two meat platter with ham and brisket with tater tots and onion rings. There was nothing special about the tots but they were delicious. The onion rings were really good. I loved the batter! They were crunchy and had some salt in the batter which was nice because normally I have to salt them. The pit ham was good too. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that the brisket was awful. It was really disappointing because their menu said that they've won some BBQ competitions which led me to believe that their brisket would be good. I was wrong. It was just way overcooked and tough. I've had some really good brisket in Arizona where it was so tender that you could eat with a spoon. Not here. With that being said, I really enjoyed all of the other aspects of my meal and I will certainly be back. I would even recommended this place to others but I would just say to try something other than...
Read moreAfter reading the reviews thought this would be a great place to have a fathers day dinner, wow was I wrong. This place is very inviting and has a great ambiance. It took forever for our waiter to show, this should have been a hint since they were not very busy. He finally showed up, we ordered and it again took forever for the food and not once while waiting on the food did our waiter stop buy to check on us. I ordered a side salad and it was actually delivered with my meal. The presentation of the food was nice but the food was not up to par, mac and cheese was rubbery and cheese sauce was runny and had very little cheese taste. The chicken had a dry rub that was super spicy and they barely put any of the wine sauce on it, only a dribble. The salmon was a frozen patty that was tossed on long enough to get grill marks... what a disaster. Since we barely touched our food we thought we would try the desert as the table next to us was enjoying theirs and it looked delicious. We ordered the bread pudding, and again it was taking forever, and our waiter, Sean, again had still not been by to see how we were doing. Someone else delivered our desert and it was not bread pudding instead it was banana pudding! We flagged one of the other waiters and asked for our check, Sean came over and gave us a bill that included the desert? We told him he was the worst waiter we had ever had, asked for a corrected bill, paid and will never be back, what a mistake going there we should have gone to McMae's way better food...
Read moreAfter an amazing dinner at Maize and Mash Friday night, our party of 8, decided to go to Nobel House for an after dinner drink. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the rudest, most disrespectful hostess. We explained that we just wanted to have a drink. The hostess informed us that the bar was full and bc of Covid, we could not stand at the bar. Fine, understandable. Seeing as the restaurant wasn't busy, we asked if we could sit at a table. Rather than answering us, she kept telling us that we couldn't sit at the bar, which we understood, we just wanted to sit at a table. She then she proceeded to say to me, in an incredibly rude tone "I'm not sure what you don't understand??..." I was shocked and confused as to why she even made the remark to me. She made other incredibly rude and disrespectful remarks to other people in our party, so we decided to leave. She continued to speak to us with attitude and in a snarky tone, she said "buh bye!". The last time I was in Nobel House, it was empty, we simply wanted to support the business, but it was the hostess and her attitude that turned us away. Fire n Wine greeted us with open arms, kind, warm, friendly staff and I'm sure they appreciated our business. We stayed there for almost two hours. We all agreed that we will never step foot in Nobel House again. ...
