What ? This place deserves soooo many more reviews .
It was super busy and popular, given that it’s interior design was done sooo nicely ( why is this not as popular on Google !?) . It’s modern chic with a tinge of boho… ugh it’s like my dream decor and furniture . Just being inside the restaurant lifted my mood and got me even more excited to try their dishes .
They were super nice as I had my puppy so they accommodated me by seating my by the tables outside .
We got the avocado toast : oh man ! Sriracha and honey dappled across, whoever thought of this was GENIUS . I will recreate this in my own kitchen for sure . I really liked their take on avocado toast. Creative and super super tasty . Will not forget about this
Fried Korean chicken and waffles : I love how they integrate a bit of Asian flavors into staple American dishes, it’s the perfect blend of modern Asian fusion. Fits the instagram bill for sure . Honestly though , my friend poured a bit too much of the syrup so it was too sweet to go bonkers for . The mochi waffle is obviously something to be excited for, but hmmm I felt like it was missing a bit of crisp and crunch that it was supposed to have with the chicken . The chicken was not bad , but I felt like it would have been even better if it were more flaky and crunchy .
Kimchi fries: what can you say about kimchi fries. Love it . And just love the presentation too .
Oh oh oh : Really , don’t skip out on their drinks . It’s hard to find creative coffee drinks that don’t have flavors overpowering each other or just changing the flavor of the drink into something unexpected and … weird . (Do you guys know what I mean ??) That’s why I was overwhelmed with joy when I had their injeolmi coffee drink (soybean with espresso) The soybeans brought out the toasty profile of the coffee , which amped this drink up to new heights . I don’t know how they did this perfectly , but I’ve have other similar coffee drinks at other places and they were never something to brag about .
BUT THIS PLACE DOES CREATIVITY RIGHT .
I will def come back and bring more friends over . Keep up the...
Read moreMy daughter and her friends went to Honey Day for brunch today and had a nice meal, but they were caught off guard by the way the tipping process was handled. When it was time to pay, their server had already selected the 20% tip on the screen before handing it over to them to sign. They weren’t informed about this in advance, and it felt pressuring since tipping is usually left to the discretion of the customer.
I understand that some restaurants have automatic gratuity policies, which is what I assumed at first, but from what I’m seeing on the menu, it seems like the 20% charge only applies to parties of seven or more. My daughter’s group was only five, so I wanted to confirm if this was a mistake, or if there’s a policy we may be misunderstanding. Of course, if I’m mistaken, I’d appreciate some clarification.
That being said, I do feel that this situation raises some concerns. My daughter and her friends are high school students, and it’s hard not to wonder if their age played a role in how this was handled. Young diners may be less likely to question a charge, and I would hope that no one--intentionally or not--is put in a position where they feel taken advantage of.
I do respect the work of the staff, and I know my daughter and her friends would have tipped appropriately regardless, but I think transparency in the payment process is important. It would be helpful if customers were made aware of pre-selected tips (if that is the case...) in advance to avoid any confusion in the future. Again, please correct me if I am mistaken... but I wanted to ensure that management was at least aware of the...
Read moreFirst of all, who decorated this place cuz it was gorgeous I wish my house looked like this lol. It felt so nice in there and every detail is thoughtful. Can you believe there's a diaper changer in the MENS BATHROOM TOO!?? UNHEARD OF!!! Perfect for a brunch date with friends or date date hehe. Everything we got was so gooood! The servers were so friendly and helpful, especially with my wild toddler. They were very patient!
I really liked the crispy ddukboki to share! Not too spicy and a little bit sweet!
The waffles and chicken also not too spicy and a bit sweet! Very tender and boneless. The waffles were really great with a sweet tasting batter and perfectly cooked, a little crispy.
The French blue latte I got hot this time and it was just enough sweet for me! Loved it. Next time I'll try it cold or try the lavender latte or the honeycomb! The pretty Palmer is gorgeous and delicious…. So many good drinks. They had chocolate milk for my toddler and the grapefruit drink that my husband got, I realllllly liked. It wasn't too tart at all. Lots of pulp.
Even the French fries were the right thickness and just crispy enough! the tater tots were good very crispy too!
You can't really go wrong with anything you order here. Loved it all! Can't wait to try the other dishes...
