Under the old owners, this place was a gem. Wonderful menu, reasonable prices and terrific quality food. So what happened? The new owners have transformed the former local favorite and a unique wholesome place into yet another Italian Deli. Awful. They changed the menu and put an Italian flair on everything. I like Italian deli's and food, but come on! This place was a gem. Not only have they changed the menu, they changed the menu names and guess what - THE NEW OWNERS JACKED UP ALL THE PRICES SUBSTANTIALLY. So now you are going to pay $15 bucks for a sandwich? And the Catering prices?? - fuggedaboudit - ridiculous; literally almost double the old prices! This place has turned into exactly what is wrong with today's world. Places think that customers will just pay up for anything. Hey new owners - way to ruin what was a wonderful local place. BRING BACK THE OLD MENU AND PRICES!! Go and experience for yourself. Make sure you bring a lot more cash and trying to find your old favorites. Oh - where did you go Rock panini? Where is the old fashioned Cuban? Nah, now you can pick a Sofia, a Nonna, a Messina, a Wilber, a Peppa.

Come on! Just another overpriced Italian Deli now. Oh how me miss the old Rock Kitchen. Hope the old owners open a new place nearby.

And by the way, Marc's Cheesecake has awesome ice cream (and cookie dough). One block up the road. The old owner respected that. New owners now competing with fellow local business...

The first thing I experienced was the comfortable, fresh, and beautiful atmosphere. I was welcomed immediately by the owner, who is so friendly and accommodating.

Then I smiled as I read the names of the menu items. Wilbur, Goosie, Amalfi, Jersey Shore Summer, PSE&G, THE 201, THE 212, sooo thoughtful and unique - Go Shorty It's Your Birthday Cake ice cream - love it!

The food at this place never disappoints. I've tried at least 30 items on the menu already and recommend all of them. I can't express how delicious it is, and I've eaten at all the places around the area. Once I tried it, I was instantly ruined for all other sandwiches. Flavor profiles that are just brilliant.

We also had them cater our sons repass, and all anyone could do was rave about the food, which meant a lot to us because we wanted to make sure we honored him with only the best, and that's exactly what we got. The owner, Giuseppe, helped us create the perfect menu and himself delivered and set up the whole buffet in the middle of a snowstorm. He made sure we had more than enough - it was perfect. I highly recommend their catering. The food is beyond top shelf.

We have ordered thousands of dollars in food from these guys - catering/lunches/family meals etc. I was treated so rudely last week that it left me scratching my head. I was calling in an order just after 6:30 knowing that they close at 7. I asked for a certain dish and the person on the phone said something indistinguishable back to me. So I thought I would just repeat the item. He then snapped at me that there is not enough time to make it and that he was very busy. The tone was not one of good customer service. I had to ask my wife what she wanted instead so I said I would call back. I really didn't want to call them back but I was talked into it. I placed the new order and picked it up. I questioned the person that took the order - knowing who it was due to all of the orders of the past. I informed him that he was very rude to me and I really was disappointed. He gave what was more of an excuse than an apology. He then started lecturing me on how he didn't have time to make the dish (which I already had accepted no problem) while speaking over me. He then acted like my business didn't matter. He said it's fine if I don't come back in so many words. We have spent so much money there and to be treated like that to me, is...
