HH Supply Co. Restaurant and Bar (formerly Blackies on the Square) — Restaurant in Glen Rose

Had heard good things, but we did not experience it! We loved the small and charming atmosphere. They had live music and that was a plus. They had a small reasonably priced menu. We weren’t acknowledged for a while when we came in, then we were told to have a seat. We sat 15 minutes before we asked someone to take our order. Our drinks came out about 15 minutes later. About an hour after we arrived part of our food was served. We were a table of 5. 2 of us received our food and about 20 minutes later the other 3 got their food. The brisket tacos and flatbread were good. The pizza was just ok and the chopped salad was not . They were out of chicken and avocado. The romaine was all white. The worst of all of it was the lack of service and urgency. None of the delays were acknowledged, we had to ask. And when we did, we were told I’m sorry there’s only 3 of us working and we’re busy. They were full, but again, it’s very small.

We have been in the service industry and we understand the labor shortage, but the place needs some training on customer service and some ownership presence. We won’t eat...

I have been trying to sample the food on their new menu, Saturday night I called between 8:30 8:45 pm to order 5 dishes for pick up and the person who answered the phone couldn't even hear me because the band was to loud for them to hear me. So they just hung up on me. I then drive there to place my order and get there a few minutes before 9 hoping the kitchen would be opened to the advertised time, but it closed before I got there. The great waitress saw that I was starving so she got me what she could to hold me over (chips & salsa)(thank you again). So to give it another try I call on Sunday to place the same order and the message machine answered give the hours for Sundays to be 11 to 4, well after a few more tries thinking that the phone might be busy I see on Google Maps that they are closed on Sundays but they haven't updated all their media yet. Went in with my family for lunch and we waited an hour for our food and finally had to walk out! The overall atmosphere is nice but they definitely don't have the capacity to handle anything more than two customers to a table! After waiting 15-20 mins for our drinks and our orders to be taken, we waited around and watched other people and even the owners get their food and eat! An hour in, we ask our waitress, how much longer and she says the smaller orders were taken care of first before starting on our bigger order of 8. Definitely won't be...
