I ordered one of their five star big boxes, which comes with two sandwiches fries, a drink, and a cookie. The quality of the food was absolutely horrendous. When I approached the general manager about it she got instantly defensive and got upset. I ordered a spicy sandwich because I wanted a spicy crispy sandwich not only was the bread soggy, but the entire sandwich was soggy. I could squish it in my fingers between my hands and I showed her that it was not fresh they stay their food in the hotbox and it sits there for a few minutes before they send it out and it’s supposed to be thrown away and rotated. The food becomes bad or sit out time the expiration date according to food time and temperature so I asked her why and I asked her if she could make me something fresher she denied me that she wouldn’t even make me a fresh sandwich and then she went to the back and pulled the pan of chicken and brought the whole pan from the heat unit just to prove to me that the chicken was fresh and the quality of it is how it cooks and I’m like no I know that I actually used to be a general manager and a training manager for Hardee’s in the Midwest And, I know the food quality. I also know the food quality safety standards, and that sandwich was served to me cold lukewarm, soggy, and wet. That is not fresh don’t eat at the store. The general manager doesn’t even care about the food, safety or quality of her food and I asked her why do you care you’re not paying for it you’re losing a customer and you’re losing me in an unsatisfactory way anyway and you don’t even care...
Read moreWell, I gave this location the benefit of the doubt and I took a gamble and wasted $15.20 for lunch at this location. Mind you, I've lived 4 streets away from this store for the past 3 years and have avoided the location due to the bad reviews. Today I decided, "Aww, it can't be that bad", WRONG! I ordered the Double Wester Burger Combo in medium size. When asked if I wanted Medium or Large, thank goodness I chose Medium, I didn't need a large box of old, cold, soggy fries! The burger? I don't think "HOT" is in the language used to make anything here. The 1 1/2 onion rings on my burger were old a hard as croutons! I removed them and was left with a lukewarm bacon double cheeseburger with BBQ sauce! I was never told a total after placing my order at the drive thru menu board. I pull up to the window and was never given a total, just had my card in hand and the person running the window grabbed the debit card reader and I tapped the screen and that was it. No receipt given and when handed my food, she just says "Here ya go." Mind you, this was at 12:40 pm on 5/27, you would think during prime time in the lunch hour my odds should've been in my favor in getting fresh, hot food! Never again! Checked my bag for a receipt, nope, nothing there either. For the record, the person was a portly Hispanic lady working this day. Come on Carl's Jr.,...
Read moreDecided to give Carl's Jr. another try at a different location since I didn't have a good experience at many other locations. This place is just disappointing. Ordered no salt on Fries and extra crispy. It looks like they just put the current salted fries back in the fryer to make it extra crispy. She handed it to me and closed the window really fast. I checked my bag to see if there is any ketchup for the fries and there was none. I sat there to get her attention and she was very rude when she opened the window saying loudly, "What"! Her body language and tone of voice make it seems like I'd bothered her. Before I could ask for ketchup, she blurbed out, "Our food is fresh and just made." When she realized that was not my question, she calmed down and told me they didn't have ketchup because their shipment didn't come in. I was okay with that response. I then let her know I ordered unsalted fries she told me there is no salt on the fries when you can see the salt crystals on it. Instead of wasting my time arguing, I decided to write this review. I have been going to Carl's Jr. since I was in my 20s. Now at 50, I won't be going there anymore. Carl's Jr. needs to teach their employees how to listen and to be honest. People ordered food a certain way due to their...
