Came with a group of friends yesterday night. The lady that rang our register out was an old and heavier-set hispanic lady with a pontytail. She claimed that she cooked our food and complained that it took so long to make. Then proceeded to tell us about job offers present, glared and whined extensively about how “some people just don’t tip.” I'm very glad to tip, and I would have done so if the service and food wasn't so bad. Very passive aggressive, and failed to act her age. Chose not to engage. To give incredibly poor customer service and then feel entitled enough to complain is embarrassing. We should not have to wait over half an hour to be seated if there were only two other tables present. Upon being sat down, we should not have to wait another ten minutes to just barely be asked about drinks. Ranch should not take 20 minutes to be delivered. My friend had more than half of her hamburger already done by the time it was brought out. Multiple of our orders were made wrong and no longer warm. The table shouldn’t have pancake remains and syrup caked on it. Every surface was sticky, and me and my friends ended up wiping down the tables out of disgust and courtesy. These are basic requirements of running a restaurant. The cook that checked us out at the registers continued to be extremely unprofessional, as she revealed that two previous workers were terminated for starting a fight. Even if it is allowed in some companies to reveal termination reasons, it is still completely inconsiderate and unnecessary. Considering the ill way she spoke of her associates, it seemed like a generally poor environment to work at. Little to no accountability, and a lot of bad mouthing. The only good thing was the laugh I had with my friends later about that woman’s excessive passive-aggressiveness. I believe that the lack of customers present in the restaurant also gave the lady some courage to act so childish. When we were seated, we also heard cussing from customers that were complaining about being treated poorly. They shortly left, and me and my friends agreed in retrospect that we should've too. I have spent plenty of time working in customer service and restaurant work, and I have never acted in such ill manner. Upon writing this review, I look past at old reviews and see similar complaints. I also see an incredibly inconsiderate way of responding to customers. Two weeks ago from today’s date, the response to a random customer states “looking into your review history it seems impossible to earn more than one star, actually, you rated 12 similar businesses negatively and only three with more than one star.” That is an embarrassingly passive-aggressive comment to make for a manager, and I wonder if HR is lenient or unaware of this level of...
Read moreWaiting on my refund. I ordered a curbside pick up and got there at the time food was ready for pickup. I tried calling but no one in the store would pick up so after Waiting for 30 minutes past my order pickup I went inside. The woman at the register said they were short staff but not in the kitchen... okay, so I informed her I was waiting outside in my car for my pick up she said okay and she would check. Another 20 minutes go by and I finally go inside, the woman again at the register said she was just about to look for my order so I watched as she went in the back. She began putting the food together that had been sitting there in containers, I seen the same food from when I first went in. So they I see her handle some of my food items putting them in a bag (bread). Now she didn't wash her hands from the time she was standing there talking to me to the time she walked in the back. I told her about that when she brought my food and I mentioned that I would like another bread with gloves used she said they can handle food without gloves as long as they wash there hands before hand which she didn't do. When I got the food to my car to inspect it, it was cold to the touch. I tried to call yet again to speck to the manger but nothing so I called Dennys complaint number now I'll be waiting to hear from them. Dont order here for pick up or curbside you will not get your food hot or on time. I won't ever eat at this...
Read moreWe took our grandmother, who is 88 today, to Dennys for her free breakfast. They no longer allow just ID. You have to be a member and have your scan code ready. The app was giving us issues on setting up her account. When we got it set up, there were no discounts and birthday specials. Our server told us that "she just works there and have rules to follow and there is no way to override it." She was not very nice but we wanted to give her a chance. We noticed she got busy and had multiple tables. Dennys no longer allow any substitutes for anything now (Now that they are a franchise). Again she said, "I only work here and nope you cannot do any substitutions." After we ate our food, we asked for some boxes. The top foil container had a dead fly on top. She didn't even apologize and put the container on the side to throw away and gave us new ones. We then were eating our toast and I noticed on my husband's toast.. that there was a dead fly in the butter! It was between the toast! We lost our appetite very quickly after that and wanted the heck out of there. We went to pay the bill and told our server about the toast. She did a small apology and didn't even offer to make it right. Especially, about the dead fly in our food! She even said that "it's just the season for them, just like those mosquitoes ." We are definitely not going back to this location. Just make sure to check your butter and toast when you...
