My friend and I found this place on a whim, while searching for something that had vegan options for me and non-vegan options for her. We had never heard of this place before, and it's tucked away, so it could easily be missed while driving by, but it's the best hidden gem I've come across in awhile. I've craved it a few times since I last had it hehe. The butternut squash soup was SO GOOD. And they had delicious bread and vegan butter... the butter was way too good and I asked for 2nds of the bread and butter haha. When I saw my soup come out with a salad, I was a bit bummed, ( first world problem I know), because I usually never like the salads at restaurants, and had i known, i wouldve told them not to waste it by adding it to my order. I didnt want to waste it, so i gave it a nibble. And i was surpised ...the salad was freaking delicious! I gobbled it down and haha.. i never do that with salad! Idk what dressing they tossed it in, but it was vegan friendly and amazing! I also ordered a vanilla latte, and it was not only one of the better lattes I've had, but it was also a lower price than most coffee shops that taste half as good. I also have a strong affinity for France, and i miss it every day. This place made me feel like I was immediately transported back there. Even the owner was speaking French ( i believe she said she was from Montreal), and everyone that worked there was SO NICE and so accommodating. It wasn't a cliché, trying to be Parisian spot - it was legitimately like a cafe would be on a beautiful corner on a busy street in Paris, with the loveliest little French goodies. I was filled with nostalgia by being there. I only wish they had vegan croissants, because OMG did their croissants smell insanely good, and i so badly wish i couldve had one. I was so in love with this spot, and my friend and I stayed way too long... a few minutes past closing time, but they were so sweet about it and let us finish our conversation, instead of kicking us out. My friend and i can't wait to go back, and said we should make this a regular brunch routine for us. But next time we promise not to stay past closing time ;) . I can't recommend this place enough! -...
Read moreThis place truly is a hidden gem. Food is fresh and fabulous. Everything on the menu (and we have tried most of it) especially their daily specials have been great (we are also addicted to their baked goods!). Portions are decent and prices are pretty reasonable for the quality (since COVID everything has gone up!). Have visited several times with my wife and daughter since we discovered them a couple of weeks back. This café has 2 or 3 tables inside and a couple of 2 tops outside so seating for dine in is limited, but charming nonetheless (they seem to do a lot of to-go orders). Gérard the owner/chef (who is always there, a good sign in any restaurant) along with all the staff are friendly and warm and clearly care about the food and service. They always make us...
Read moreThis place is very cute and has French products. And staff is nice. However we were very dissapointed with the veggie options. We came and ordered the to go “vegan” salad option and it was simply a plastic box with leaves inside. The green salad cost more than 8 dollars. I was very disappointed to have paid eight dollars for such a simple salad. If I wanted a box with lettuce leaves I would have gone to the market and made my own salad. I expected more vegetables and not just salad leaves, especially if it’s going to cost 8 dollars. Vegan doesn’t mean that it only has to be a bunch of leaves. There are so many vegetables available (even in French cuisine) to make a delicious and nutritious salad....
