You can go to this restaurant if you are not scared of roaches. When we were having dinner few roaches joined us :P. We showed it to the owner and to my surprise he asked us why did we sit in that table and that part of the restaurant was not open blah blah etc. Stupid way to defend when u have cockroaches in your restaurant. he was trying to make us look bad for sitting in that table and for some reason he started getting angry on us. Me and my friend were offended and we did not leave tip. he took the bill and asked us why we did not tip. Ridiculous attitude towards customers(may be because we were Indians). The waiters in the restaurant were very nice and felt very bad when they saw the cockroach. I pity the ppl working in that restaurant. Never go to this place it is over priced and food is also not so great. All curries taste the same. You are better of eating frozen indian food that you can get in...
Read moreI came years back for a dinner, but didn't think much of it. I had urge for Indian food lately and decided to try the lunch buffet. For 9 bucks, food was well worth it. Time I went there were tandoori chicken, chicken mansala, chicken curry, lentil dish, vege dish, rice pudding dessert, and 2 things that I really was craving mint chutney and papadum (spicy cracker). From all the dish, chicken mansala stood out as the best along with papadum. I must have eaten at least 1/2 dozen and would've eaten more if I wasn't trying everything else. My picky eater son liked the food and gobbled up rice mansala and tandoor chicken.
As other reviewers mentioned they bring naan table side. Servers/owner are very friendly. The place is small and can probably fit less than 30 people. Plenty of parking.
I will definitely be back to lunch buffet and would highly recommend...
Read moreThis store used to be located on Brand street in Glendale, CA. It is a family owned business and I keep going to this category of restaurants because I like to support family business. The food is delicious and kinda authentic Indian food. My drawbacks is the hygiene of the kitchen that you can observe while walking through it to get to the poor restroom in the back. The restaurant is generally very hot in the summer especially with increased body temp with all the spices in the food. Furthermore, the business owner (despite he is a nice gentleman) set up his office just next to the entrance and for some reason has a full manual control over the indoor AC unit. Again, food is not bad at all, could be cheaper, but I guess they charge based on their overhead cost for running this family business in a neighborhood with high...
