This is the coolest little shop that I never knew existed until last night, so happy that I discovered it because I could get lost in there for hours looking for the perfect unique gifts for my hard to shop for family members. I fell in love with that weird little cat dude so my aunt bought him for me as a gift, and today I snuck back over there to buy her the pendant necklace and pair of earrings to give her for her birthday. The two women who were working there when I went in there today were so nice, knowledgeable, and just overall lovely human beings - I enjoyed getting a chance to chat with them about their shop and appreciate that they took the time to nicely wrap up my purchase knowing it is a gift for my aunt.

A very small shop PACKED FULL with rare and unique finds. Absolutely worth going to. The prices are reasonable, and best of all the owner has knowledge on where to buy, how to rockhound, cool clubs, tips and tricks... just all of it. If you're a novice or a pro, this is a must see. Also, when you're there, open the drawers. They pull way way out to reveal a deep selection of really cool finds. She also has candles, incense, artisan made jewelry ( can also make jewelry by request), books, maps, mounted specimens, posters and wall art.

DJ knows everything about rocks and more. I was blown away by her knowledge on rocks as she can scientificially name all elements yet she gives all glory and honor to the creator. I discover some interesting and beautiful rocks in it's natural state. I love that we are free to touch and look at. I found apache tears here, and she has a great supply of it.

Look, this is a very beautiful little rock shop in a quaint nook in Montrose. It is well stocked and organized and fairly priced. The proprietors clearly know their rocks and gems. Fair warning, there is a tiny piece of paper hidden behind some hanging wares on the door asking not to photograph, and they take this very seriously. We did not see this and were immediately treated like criminals. There are plenty of ways to approach store policy that don’t begin with accusations of malicious intent. It’s really too bad, because we were excited to drop some cash at a local business and recommend it to others, but we were so taken aback by the abrupt hostility we will not be doing either. It’s hard out there for independent businesses, but antagonizing your customers is not going to help anything. Print up a bigger sign if it’s really a problem. 5/5...
