Jeremey’s coffee shop is small American diner restaurant that offer breakfast and lunch. They’re located in an affluent La Cresenta neighborhood. This restaurant kinda reminds of a diner in a middle of motown run by mom and pops. Because it’s indoor and outdoor layout and design postulate exactly that. I came here on late Saturday morning after work to grab brunch. I received a perfunctory and banal greeting by a male server staff. I sat by the bar in front of their open kitchen. Their interior design was riddled by old car plates and other old wall frames. Similarly, their wooden tables and chairs were classic in design. Indoor dine-in wasn’t spacious and walk ways were constricted unlike their front outdoor patio. Their menu was limited and very basic. I ordered their Veggie Omelette that came with wheat toast and mixed fruits, coffee and oj. The veggie omelette has a home made look in appearance. It was tasty, a lil salty and satisfying nonetheless. Perhaps I was that hungry. Moreover, my wheat toast were mildly burned and the sliced mixed fruits (strawberries, watermelon, honey due and watermelon) were mushy, leaking juice and shriveled. OJ and coffee were okay and of average quality. One unhealthy and very unprofessional act from a tall female (with leg tattoos) server was when she used her left bare hand on a pancake as she puts the eggs and bacon between the stacks. It was repulsive to see. Their service was mildly fast and staff were amiable and attentive. Prices were fair. Parking lot and street are available. In this voluminous review, its time to make a conclusion. Overall, it’s difficult to recommend this coffee diner shop despite having a good service and attentive staff. I suggest you go somewhere else that has better food...
Read moreWent to Jeremys for breakfast this morning as was really taken aback by the hospitality and kindness from everyone. I was told to sit anywhere I like, and before I got a menu, a nice young man had a cup in hand and asked if I wanted coffee. I kindly said yes and moments later a nice woman named Mary brought my menu. I sipped on hot coffee for a few minutes, decided what I wanted and when I closed my menu, she was right there to take my order. While I waited for my food, my coffee was topped off without me asking OR looking up for anyone, the staff made frequent rounds to make sure my cup was never lower then half full (I really loved that!) My food was brought out piping hot. I ordered a denver omlette with home fries. My meal was delicious. The potatoes (with onions and peppers) were great and my omlette was perfect. While I was eating I would casually hear people saying pleasantries as they came or left...everyone seemed to be on a first name basis (customers to each other and staff) This is what a small restaurant in a small town should be. People who know each other and are kind. I was impressed by the service immensely, the quality of my meal but most of all I loved how everyone knew each other. When I was leaving Mary thanked me for coming in and said "I hope we see you soon!" You...
Read moreWe love this place! Old school diner, excellent breakfasts, fairly priced. Elle is our favorite - always makes us feel like we're having breakfast with a friend. The other servers are very good, too - and Hector always keeps my coffee cup happy. I especially love the 2+2 (eggs, bacon or sausage, excellent home fries or hash browns, plus toast for $12.95) great value for LA and big servings. Eggs are always perfect, sausage is great with a good snap. Those home fries with peppers and onions, yum. On special occasions, I love the 2+2+2 for their amazing, giant pancakes, just WOW! Hubby likes variety in his breakfasts and yesterday he LOVED huevos ranchero. Spicy, flavorful. He didn't want rice & beans so he swapped for hash browns - great, great change up and no "mucky plate". Tons of food for like $16. We'll do that one again! Anyhow, we are mostly Sunday morning people and there's a nice mix of customers. It's not a huge place but usually busy, inside and out. We rarely have to wait long for our table. We're so grateful to have learned of this special place in our first weeks in...
