Gardenia Pizzeria & Deli — Restaurant in Glendale

I’ve been here more than once and there was never a time in which I left without feeling satisfied. Truly spectacular spot… talk about a hidden gem in LA. The owner, Ray, works with his heart and soul alongside his staff to ensure the people get the quality they deserve for a decent price pizza, sandwich, lahme baajin or anything on the menu. May I add that his Lebanese mother works there and the hummus that she makes is to die for. That’s REAL HUMMUS and pair it with his baked flavored pita chips that he makes and sells in house and you find yourself wanting more, and more, and more… and more! I’ve had the hot dog there too and it’s truly a good hot dog, he gets beef ones so they’re tastier than your typical dogs and you can customize it to your liking. Lastly, the PIZZA!! Oh boy if you go in there and do not try the pizza you are missing out on a treat. It’s not too greasy, not too thick, it’s just how a deli pizza should be. It’s not Italian pizza but it’s up there...

My son and I stopped in on a road trip just for a bathroom. Didn't see a bathroom so we walked out. As we were talking in the parking lot, the owner came out and asked us if we needed a bathroom. We said yes, and he said come in, I have one you can use. I ended up buying a few drinks for the road. In the course of conversation, found out he has a whole deli and they make both American food and Lebanese food which means both my kids and I could happily eat there. Me the Lebanese option and my kids the American option. Anyhow, the owner was very welcoming and kind. He even gave us a package of bagel chips that they make in house that were VERY good! My son and I would like to stop there again!...

This deli & market is a hidden gem! I drive in this area almost every day and finally stopped in for a meatball sub today. I am absolutely blown away. The sandwich is superb. The cheese and meat are so very fresh and the sauce had just the right amount of kick to it. The service is incredible and it did not take long at all. This place is a one stop shop for just about everything. They have a vast wine and craft beer selection that I will revisit when I have more time. They also offer Dippin dots ice cream and lottery tickets can be purchased here. I was also given a scratcher with good luck as a first time visitor!
