Pork and chicken were dry. Portions are small. I ordered the "Wednesday Special", which was Arroz con Pollo, and it should have been just called Arroz, because it had maybe 7 bite size pieces of chicken, and the rest was rice. We said something, and the owner brought me 5 more bite size pieces of chicken....and more rice. In total, it didn't even equal one small chicken breast. My husband said to me that the coffee was better than the food. After all that, and my husband telling them how disappointed we were with the food, they didn't offer to discount the bill at all....we still paid full price. Some kind of discount should have been made. Now as for the bathroom.... I had to take my daughter, and it was so hot in there, it was like being in a sauna. Sun is blazing where the bathrooms are, no fan, no a/c obviously, only a dirty window open above the door....and if you count the hole in the vent on the bottom of the door. My daughter's face turned fuchsia while we were in there, it was so hot...and I was doing my best not to move to much while I waited for her because I was so hot. The toilet looks like it hasn't ever been replaced...so old that the white porcelain color has worn off, and no seat covers, leaving you with the only option of lining the toilet with toilet paper.... several layers. Pretty sure that's the same toilet that was there when it was a gas station/garage....and Mambo's says it has been open since 1988, so what does that tell you about how old...
Read moreFood was delicious, but the mood of our table was absolutely ruined from extremely poor customer service.
One of the waitresses rudely cleared off my father's half empty glass without asking if he was finished. When he politely reminded her of the fact, she bluntly replied to him; "I'm sorry, we're closed", before quickly walking away. Absolutely disgusting.
It was 7:56 pm, four minutes before closing. We were almost finished with our meal and would've been ready to get going a little after 8. But that was before we were suddenly unwelcome to stay any longer.
Once I received my card back, I planned on writing a short note on the merchants receipt, but the pen was out of ink. That's okay, this complete joke of a waitress wasn't even going to see a penny of a tip anyways.
Circus of a restaurant service with clowns disguised as waiters. They don't even introduce their names when they serve you.
You're probably better off coming here for lunch, I think 8 hours should be plenty of time. Unless they start escorting you out around 2:30 or so.
Embarrassment of a dining experience. Next time, I'm taking my business across the street to Sushi Nishi-ya, where they actually take care of...
Read moreWent for Sunday lunch with my family. Every bite of food was freshly made, veggies super crisp and ripe. I had the cuban slow roasted pork, was absolutley tender and bursting with flavor. The Sangria was made with fresh fruit and paired perfctly with the pork. My wife had a steak sandwhich with crispy flat plaintains instead of bread and loved every bite of it. Our waiter Gary was super friendly, patient and reccomended an incredible freshly grilled shrimp, avocado, lemon, tomato salad that was the best thing I've eaten this year. If you like Versailles, you will love this place. Parking is very easy and abundant, very safe and clean neighborhood. They have live music on Tueaday nights so thats a nice bonus. All in all just an amazing experience, great food, amazingly nice staff, the prices were shockingly affordable for such a nice and classy place. If your hungry its worth the drive no matter where you live, you'll be...
