Panaderia y Restaurante Cristal — Restaurant in Glendale

I heard some good things about this place but I was a little let down by the quality. It was still okay, I ordered the caldo de res and my wife ordered the sopes de al pastor. We also got two big glass bottles of Mexican Coke. The soup was a little more salty than I'm use to and it had zucchini, cabbage, beef, carrots, green bell peppers and one very small slice of corn. Portion was good. My wife's sope was kind of thin and the marinated pork meat was overcooked and dry. Tough to chew, so it appears that it was old or from earlier in the day. We did get there about 7pm so it was late but you would think that it would be fresh. Either way I'm willing to come back some other time to see what it's like for lunch. The place is small and one of the booths the chair was practically sinking into itself. They may want to think about...

My hubby and I were looking for a panderia because a sudden craving hit him on our way back home to Waddell. Yes, the craving hit him, not me. (This time, 😆) We had passed 2 bakeries that were closed, assuming because it was MLK, before finding this one to thankfully be open. We walked in and could smell all the goodness going on inside. 😋 There was a wide variety of fresh pan dulce. We grabbed our items ( more than we should have) and proceeded to cash out. While cashing out, I found more pastries in the front display case. My goodness, they look so tempting.....So i gave in 🙄 The young lady at the counter was friendly and patient with me. 😁 a nice little spot for fresh pan. I noticed they sell food too, but I just haven't tried it yet, so I can't review it..... Just yet anywsy. We will be stopping back in...

I went in tonight and ordered some food and was completely disgusted by the customer service of the girl who was at the cashier station. I ordered 2 quesadillas, 2 tortas, enchiladas and some tacos. After waiting for over an hour for the food I asked how much longer it would be and the girl rudely said, however long it takes. At this point I asked for my money back and she refused stating that the enchiladas were already done. When I asked for them she refused to give me them and said I needed to wait. I was unsure why it took this long as the location was not busy. I was more upset over the customer service over anything. I plan on returning to speak to the manager or owner because this was ridiculous. Please...
