It was our date night & I'd passed by this on Friday & the parking lot was FULL! I asked my husband if he'd like to go there to try it out. So we drove from Skiatook Lake area out to Glenpool & it was WELL WORTH IT 🌶️ 🥑🌮🍤🍺🍹🌶️🥑🌮🍤🍺🍹 🌶️ It was an EXCELLENT experience from the moment we walked in the door until we walked out. We were seated instantly by a pleasant young girl who then took our drink order & returned quickly with the best iced tea & MODELO for my husband that we'd experienced in a while! The temp in the building was perfectly cooled , the lighting was just right & the wait staff were very prompt. The menu was a nice surprise, not overwhelming w/ 50 items under each heading but a really good assortment of all types food. I am easily thrown into a ( tizzy) when there are 200 items on the menu to choose from! Lol! We loved the chips & salsa it was the best we'd experienced in quite some time. I had the Tamales w/ 🥑 on the side & my husband had the 🦐🍤🦐fajitas w/corn tortillas! He loved them! The prices were equal to most! The atmosphere was just perfect for a Sat night & even though it was packed it wasn't too loud . We took care of our bill @ the table so no long waits to leave & we even had take out boxes w/food to bring home so dinner Sunday night was already taken care of! 🌮 Neither of us had even one complaint! We will for sure be back! ♥️🇺🇸♥️🇧🇴♥️🇺🇸🇧🇴♥️ P. S. Almost forgot they've got an outside covered patio room to share parties & etc! To THE ENTIRE group if employees "THANK YOU FOR AN...
Read moreI quit going here a few years ago because the food declined in quality. I came back because the office staff I work with wanted to go. I figured surely after a few years with them still in business their food must be better quality. I was incorrect. We sat down around 11am for lunch and our waitress greeted us. She acted as if we were inconveniencing her by eating at the restaurant. I was going to order a lunch special but I don’t like rice so I asked if I could substitute the rice for something else. She explained the different options and how all of the options would be an additional $1 charge. So I asked if I could swap both rice and beans and get the veggies and she said it would still be additional charge so I chose instead to get the beef nachos. The nachos were just chips, topped with ground beef, topped with shredded cheese that was melted in a microwave. That is 100% the only ingredients. It didn’t even come with the cheap restaurant queso. At a price of $13 after tax one would assume the cheap queso and maybe some sour cream or pico would be included. The restaurant seemed clean until my work friend dropped her keys between the booth and the wall and we had to move the booth. Gross to say the least. I understand they probably don’t move the booths often but this was at least a year worth of funk. I really don’t understand how they are still in business considering that there are two excellent exceptional Mexican restaurants within a mile. Do not go here! Go to Mi Tierra Cocina Mexicana...
Read moreSpeedy’s is a solid 3. The servers here were excellent. We were seated promptly in a room with sneeze guards between booths and were given chips and salsa and our drink order was taken. We ordered frozen margaritas and water and received them in a timely manner. The margaritas here are the best I’ve ever had and I would give them an absolute 5 star rating even for the house margaritas, not just the top shelf. It was probably the best part of our meal, though the chips were also great and were served warm.
When our waitress came back to take our dinner order I asked her if she had eaten there and whether she would recommend the Enchiladas Banderas or the Tacos al Pastor. She said she preferred enchiladas, so this is what I went for. The refried beans were par. They were just beans - nothing special, but not awful. The “rice” was strange. It was hardly what I would consider Mexican fare.. it actually tasted just like Chinese fried rice but had the red tint of chilis and had two whole kernels of corn in it. One enchilada was just packed with cooked cheddar cheese.. not the melty stringy kind, but almost hard cheddar. The chicken enchilada tasted like it had just been dumped from a can and mashed up and served in a flour tortilla. The beef enchilada was good, but lacked filling.
On a positive note we spent a total of $20 for two meals and two frozen margaritas. The chips, margaritas, and good company alone...
