My family doesn't really eat out very much these days because it's all gotten so expensive, but tonight, I had a real craving for some potato skins. We decided to try Taormina Pizza. I ordered my potato skins; my husband ordered a medium pizza with extra cheese and bacon, we ordered some onion rings and my granddaughter got a kids' meal. The whole thing came to $53.00+ (not including tip.)
When I ordered, I asked the girl taking my order if their onion rings were batter-dipped; she assured me they were. The order took 40 minutes to arrive, which is pretty typical, so no problem. As it turns out, their onion rings are NOT batter-dipped, but rather breaded. Sigh, ok. My husband's pizza had bacon as ordered, but also sausage...I wonder if we were charged for the extra topping. Ok, he said he'd eat it. My potato skins were literally burned to a crisp. Completely inedible. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if they had caught on fire in the oven. I called immediately and the manager apologized and explained that the cook was probably busy and left them cook too long. That may be, but then why would you send this slop to your customer instead of remaking them?
He asked if I wanted new skins sent out and I said yes and asked if it was going to take another 40 minutes to get them. He promised they would be delivered within 20-25 minutes. Fifty minutes later, I had to call and see if they were still coming.
If that wasn't bad enough, when their driver brought them to my house, he rang the bell, put my bag on top of a bush and left. Rather than wait for the 12 seconds it took for me to answer the door, he put it on a bush. Who does that? I didn't even know where it was when I first opened the door!

So sorry, Taormina Pizza, we will not ordering...
Read moreI gave this place one last try tonight and was disappointed for the last time. First? It was supposed to be for pick up, so my husband gets there and is told it was sent out for delivery so he had to wait for the driver to get back. Then he finally gets it home, the salad is placed directly on top of the baked ziti dinner, so it is hot. Yay for hot salad -- next? No forks, no napkins... We are ordering take out not just for the food, but so that we don't have to do dishes. And last? Asked for garlic knots rather than the sorry excuse for garlic bread they give (picture pizza hut bread sticks but burnt ) well they DID give us the garlic knots thankfully, but without sauce -- and still gave us the garlic bread which ticked me off personally because we hate wasting food. Now. Previous orders we have had similar issues, but this is the first time they tried to deliver when we asked to pick up, but they are a pizza place that makes pizza that is severely under done. I have even tried to ask for it well done and it is just barely cooked the way pizza is usually cooked. They have an awesome pepperoni stromboli and the garlic knots are great, everything else, service...
Read moreLast weekend I called and ordered the large pizza and 20 wings special, mozzarella stick, and a veggie roll. The lady taking the order was mumbling so much I couldn’t understand anything she was saying but I gave my card info and waited for my food. I got my food and they charged us for a calzone and did not give us the discount on the wing and pizza special. I called back and they said they would give me a credit as long as I didn’t touch the calzone, which I didn’t and they said they would pick the calzone back up. Which I was also fine with since I didn’t want it in the first place. They then call back and tell us the keep it. First of off the receipt said regular calzone and it was a ham calzone (besides the fact since I didn’t order it). And second I call back this weekend to get the special again and they don’t have a record of my credit they owe me.(14-15$) and ask me to call back the next day to get my credit. I love the food but very disappointed in the service. If I knew it would have been this much trouble I would have just asked for the cash back but I like there food so I was giving them...
