Nice ambiance near the restaurant if you like New England water-based things, which I do. Easy parking too.

If you like bringing your dog and keeping it unleashed during dinner at a restaurant / having it walk around the dining area, this seems to be the place to do it though.

Went there with my mother for lunch and, as the sign indicated for us to do, we sat ourselves. We chose the table as far away from the dog that was walking around on its own as we could, and a long, silver haired employee told us we'd have to change tables, even though we were simply trying to coexist with the off-leash dog.

The dog-party was the only other party in the entire area so they were actually quite easy to avoid, even if I personally think dogs should be strictly maintained by the table, if theyre even in a restaurant. this was not a service dog, as it was simply meandering about the premises, as dogs do.

I thought it was annoying that the restaurant staff person didn't accept my solution to the dog and seemed to act like having unleashed dogs inside was a normal thing, so, i simply left after being asked to relocate to a table that was next to the animal.

I like animals tbh, and i specifically like dogs, but i do not like unleashed strange dogs walking around my food and family, at restaurants. I was willing to avoid even thinking about it by simply existing far away from it in the restaurant, and this was deemed unacceptable to them.

I was looking forward to trying this place, not from reputation, but from the way that people seemed to be rather cheery exiting the location (maybe they were coming out of the dessert place, idk) so I'm kind of sad I didn't have the experience.

I just simply was not going to eat a meal next to a large, unleashed animal that was brought in by a guest and interacting with other guests/tables.

Odd experience honestly, especially since I was trying to keep it really quiet that we were avoiding the dog so as not to embarrass or call out the party that brought it. They obviously weren't doing anything wrong since the restaurant didn't mind their presence and the dogs just a dog.

My experience seems to be very different from what other people have had, so thats weird, but in all fairness, the dog-party were the LITERAL only other party in the place, so telling us we HAD to sit next to them when the entire dining room was empty was kinda F'd up, and is why we simply went down the road to Mile Marker, which was very nice.
