I never do things to pamper myself. This particular day, however, I had time to kill, & a little voice kept saying, "Do something for YOU." I had just stopped in at a grocery store nearby to see if they had something my parents enjoy but can't get at the location near where they live - but it's apparently been discontinued altogether. I got out to my vehicle, feeling disappointed, and still had 45 minutes until I was due to arrive at another appointment 6 to 8 minutes away. That's when I spotted the DQ. I said to myself, "Go in, get yourself something tasty, and sit & enjoy it here! You deserve it!" I got inside, and the first thing I saw was the featured Blizzard flavor: Snickerdoodle Cookie Dough. Snickerdoodles are my favorite cookie, and that further convinced me that I was supposed to stop there. The young lady who took my order was really nice, and she had my Blizzard was ready right away... And it was HEAVENLY! When I finished, I was then feeling guilty for treating myself, and since I happened to have a cooler with dry ice in my vehicle, I bought my hubby a box of Cherry Dilly Bars. He's only been talking about them for YEARS. 🤣 The young lady who rang them up for me was every bit as nice as the first, and I left there incredibly happy. Do not do business here at the Godfrey, IL (across from Lewis and Clark Community College) location. On 12/18/2020, around 7:30 -8:00pm, the older lady working the register and drive through window was not wearing a mask. The rest of the staff was, but this woman was even speaking over our food as she handed it to us. Even though we were in our car, we still had masks on. She smirked at us when she gave us our food and said, “enjoy.” We threw it away immediately. We will be letting everyone know not to do business here. That woman made a statement that her political opinions are more important than the safety of the customers. I will be urging everyone to contact the health department to shut this location down. Called to order cake. I asked if they would be open when I planned on picking up and she said yes. I show at at said time to pick up and their dining is closed. I had to wait for a good 30 min in line in the drive through just to pick up a cake that wad already ordered!!!!! Which caused me to be late with the rest of the birthday celebration. There has got to be a better procedure for this. Like a call to the inside to have a worker bring it out.
