Sooooo, this place is pretty typical for Gold Beach unfortunately. Food was mediocre, service was pretty poor, prices were high, menu was funky. We got there and my partner placed his order. The waiter (it's a family, pretty sure it's their younger son) took the order, wrote it down, and then was like "Oh, we're out of that." Partner ordered another thing, they were out of that. At that point the waiter was finally like "OK, we're also out of..." a few other things. Would have been great to know that beforehand. Small issue I guess? But there's some more...

Want a side of salsa or guac? They're $5.50, and only come in pint sizes (they're not sides). Yes, I confirmed that price. Not possible to get a normal side. Odd, but whatever.

But, and to be fair my stomach is a bit sensitive, the worst part was that my stomach was destroyed the next day by the veggie, dairy-free burrito I had. Everyone else was fine, but it was definitely #toiletlife for most of the next day.

I love the family, the vibe, and the concept. The execution, however, was really not acceptable in my opinion. It just wasn't an overall...

Ok, if your favorite Mexican food is Taco Bell, then stop reading and move on. But if you love real GREAT, authentic Mexican food, the Casita De Oro is the place in Gold Beach. I drove to Gold Beach to visit in early October. It was pretty much a ghost town as I was driving through. I was hungry and looking for food spots, when I noticed this bright colored building - Mexican food. Having been raised in L.A, CA, I know and love Mexican food. But what I noticed about Casita, was that there was a line waiting to order. That's generally a good sign for a ghost town. I ordered the Burrito Grande with Carnitas, which was $2 extra. The burrito was huge. I added the avocados myself and the chips were extra. This was an awesome burrito. The carnitas was excellent, and well worth the extra $2. Total cost of the burrito was $14.50. But I was not able to finish it, and made it lunch for the next day. This was one of those meals that you want to keep eating no matter how stuffed you are. I'll be visiting Gold Beach for about a month, and I will be eating here at least...

Tried to get a super burrito, says its 16.50 with chicken. I asked for grilled chicken. It doesnt differentiate on the menu the different price for grilled chicken, it only says add 4$ for steak. When I asked why it was so much she picks up the menu and points to where it says the steak is more, and proceeds to tell me that it says, steak and other types of meats cost more. I pointed out that it doesnt say that at all, and she just repeated herself like im stupid or she doesn't actually know English. And then she goes, oh so you want shredded chicken. No, I want grilled chicken, like the menu says, chicken, for 16.50. Whatever just give me my money back. The food is good but its too expensive and ive had too many issues with this place. Should of just admitted it was false advertising and gave me my burrito for 16.50, instead you have one less local customer. Im going home to make...

This place saved our buns two times for dinner while staying in Gold Beach! We ate there a Tues night and again Thurs night when many other places in town closed as early as 5pm or 7pm! The first time we had chicken enchilada meal and birria tacos (we asked for consume and they gave it to us to go with it for free) and the second time we had a super burrito and a chili relleno burrito with chicken added. All meals were great and the young son (I'm guessing it's a fam run business) at the drive thru window and the younger sounding girl that answered the phone for a call ahead order the second time were both so nice! Love this place! Even if you don't call ahead and wait thru the drive thru, it's worth it and sometimes it's the only way you're getting dinner after 7pm that night!

My mom and I are on a road trip down the coast, we had been driving all day and needed a hot meal after checking into our hotel. This place hit the spot! I had the taco and enchilada combo and my mom had the enchilada and chile relleno combo. So tasty. The chips and salsa were a classic. The service was good and the place was cute too. Thank you.
