My wife loves Italian subs, I was nowhere near the places I normally go to so I looked for Italian subs D' Amici & sons popped up so I checked out the menu, I saw any Italian sub for a decent price so I decided to check it out, walked in and told the employee that I wanted a Italian sub with no sauces on it, then I ordered myself a turkey sub as well, cashier said a number dubbed the number I was suspecting, I paid it because I'm not a controversial person plus I was thinking it's probably a great sub so I went and had a seat a different employee was walking by I stopped him and showed him what I was looking at from the online menu and asked why there was such a difference in pricing, he told me that google makes its own prices so I said you guys just have update the menu he told me no Google does it's own thing I was confused but anyway I said ok sandwiches came up cashier was grabbing 2 half bags of chips, I stopped him and said do you have different flavor, he told me no, so I said ok grabbed my food and walked to my car, in the car I checked my sandwich out only to see 2 pieces of of turkey on a 5 inch sandwich, I took a bite and thought what a rip off a basic plain Jane small turkey sandwich with a significant price tag. I then realized it was Saturday noonish and there was no business at this nice looking restaurant then it dawned on me that's why the small sandwiches were so expensive "there not getting business" probably because it's...
Read moreI told the woman behind the counter when I walked in that I had not been there before. She light heartedly explained the menu. I chose the salmon salad. Sounded very good. There couldn't have been more than 3 oz of cold salmon on this entrée dish. It was missing the capers and no dill. After I took my second bite, I motioned the woman and told her there was no capers. She went back to ask the chef. She came back and said "oh they are missed in the greens, you should see some soon". I did not see one single caper and there was no dill. It was basically mixed greens with very thin sliced fennel with salmon shred. Salmon could have come out of a can for all the flavor it had. I was hoping someone would come ask how things were because I also noticed everyone else had bread with their meal. I received none. No one ever came to see how things were. When I was leaving, I asked "do your salads generally come with bread?" "Oh, yeah, you can just ask for some". Very disappointed. Over priced and...
Read moreWe’ve been here a gazillion times. Usually great, but has been declining lately, but specifically - tonight less than stellar. I ordered the pasta with bacon and mushrooms. I’ve had it here before several times. Tonight, the bacon in the dish was 1/2 cooked bacon fat. I picked it out. The waitstaff asked me how everything was and I pointed out the half raw bacon. He went over to the cook and mentioned it and the cook LAUGHED, mockingly, saying something about bacon being ‘fat.’ Listen, you little shi#|. Not only have I had it here before and it was cooked and substantial bacon, I’ve had this dish in Italy where they actually know how to COOK, as opposed to work as a line chef one step up from In and Out Burger. To say that was one thing, but in ear shot of the customers was unacceptable. We’re gonna steer clear of D’Amico for awhile. Pretty lame. Oh - waaaay too much dressing and Parmigiana in the salad. Gloppy. Where are...
