Gypsy Bean Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Goldsboro

Do yourself a favor and come here and have your mind blown. The owner served us and made reccomendedations on pastries and coffee. I got the flat white... true New Zealand (I think that's what he said) style served as a 6 ounce option versus the American version of a flat white. Oh. My. God. I can't describe how perfect that coffee was. It had bold notes of cocoa, was smooth and bold all at the same time. I couldn't stop drinking it. It was served at the perfect temperature ( I hate when your milk comes scorched). It was heaven in a cup. My husband got a white chocolate macadamia nut latte and it was sweetened to perfection. No too sweet to overpower the espresso, just enough for flavor. I can't tell you how much coffee I drink...an embarrassing amount (so much!) And this was the best cup of coffee I've ever had. To note, my previous #1 was a coffee stand in Vermont that blew me away..and Gypsy Bean Coffee just stole that ranking. I didn't have any cash, so just keep in mind their card terminal doesn't have a tip option. Bring cash to tip. You won't regret it....

The atmosphere is great, the flavors on the menu are unique, and the treats are great however the best part about this place is the owners and staff. They are friendly, kind, and remember your name.

Our ldest son claimednlast night that the hot chocolate is better than SB but there's no caffeine in it so I haven't validated that claim. I can tell you a favorite of mine is the Bohemian Rhapsody.

As for the one star review the person that gave that review has only given one star reviews at this time. She must not have anything good to say about places or she keeps the good stuff to herself. Don't trust that review give Gypsy Bean a try you won't be...

I haven't been to Goldsboro in quite awhile and was excited to learn they had a new coffeeshop. I went and checked it out. I got a black Americano and an iced Mocha.

The environment was clean and cozy. The barista was nice. The coffee was ok. It was a little bitter. It definitely wasn't the best coffee I have ever had or the worst. I have found places that roast their own beans have the best coffee. The fact Goldsboro has a coffeeshop that's open is great.

On a different note—There was a sign that required masks, but only the barista was wearing one. Not sure of the purpose of having the...
