Waitress/Server made our dinner HELL. Rude, pushy, and made us want to run out of the place. I recalled one of my former coworkers was raving on how wonderful this restuarant was so my husband and I decided to give it try while we were in town. The atmosphere was comfy, food was average, service was a joke. Save your time, peace of mind and just head to Jay's on the next block or any other Asian Fusion restaurant in town. While ordering my husband asked the server about the drinks on the menu since he wanted to know about their specialty/popular drinks to try something new and she rudely stared, questioned in a matter of fact tone with "men don't drink cocktails (he was referring to their beer selection)." We ordered drinks then ordered appetizers when she returned. Their cocktails are sorry, by the way - taste like watered down soda. When it came time to order our entrees the server didn't even have the decency to look at my husband, instead she kept directing herself to me and kept ignoring him. Moments later she a lightbulb clicks and she asks if it was was our first time visiting. She actually toned down with her attitude at this point. She tries to act more attentive and starts to push recommendations. My husband is already annoyed at this point, sense we had already made up our mind. When she would faintly check on us she would, once again, refer to me alone. The entrees arrived. The appetizers we ordered did not arrive and the server passed by asking if they had been brought out - she forgot them. She asked me if we still wanted them so I look over to my husband to ask him if he was still interested in the appetizers. She looks at us with an annoyed, disgusting look on her faced. Our appetizers were not brought out until long after we received our entrees. My husband was just quietly shaking his head to avoid making a scene in outrage of how poor the service. At the end of our meal, the server asked if we were interested in dessert. I informed her we are not having dessert that evening and I saw her make a face before heading back to bring us boxes. She returned with the boxes, but no check, then asked me again is we wanted to have dessert and I repeated my previous answer before she decided to bring out the check. We wanted to try out desserts, but the ambience was so tense and it was already to embarrassing to have other guests and servers stare at our table whenever the server would open her mouth. We just wanted to leave and try to salvage the evening. Needless to say: not planning to go back. Never thought Goldsboro could have a place with such...
Read moreThe food here is okay. The service is horrible. Not the first time we have had a terrible service experience here either, but we had heard that there had been a change in management and decided to give it another try. We were seated at 6:20. Not everyone at the table had menus and silver settings. The waitress said she would return in a moment with more. About 10 minutes later, she came back with 1 menu and no silver settings. She took everyone's order, and said it would be about 15 minutes for service. About 15 minutes later the drinks arrived. My beer was not among them. She said that she had seen it at the bar and would be right back with it. 10 minutes later, she brought my beer. It was already starting to warm. We inquired about the food, which was now several minutes later than promised. She said she would check on it, and then we did not see her again for about 20 more minutes. By this time, everyone had exhausted the beverages. We asked for refills. None came. The food started arriving from the kitchen. 1 plate at a time. Seriously, it took about 10 minutes for 8 plated to come out. My 10 year old daughter was left with no meal and no drink. She had to start eating off everyone else's plate. About 5 minutes after the last plate arrived, I went looking for our waitress to ask where my daughter's meal was. She said she would go ask the kitchen. I returned to my seat, and noted that our waitress was still standing where I had left her. I found another server and asked if they could point out a manager to me. He took me to the kitchen door and explained that they were all in the back if the house, but if I waited there, one would eventually come out. I didn't wait. I opened the kitchen door and asked for a manager to come out. When she did, we went over to the table and I showed her the empty glasses. While we were talking, my daughter's meal arrived. I wanted to know why our waitress was not engaged with the kitchen to ensure every order was completed, why there were no refills and why the 20 odd tables that had been seated after us had been served, paid out and bussed before our meals started to arrive. The other tables had different servers. The manager apologized for the drinks not being refilled, but began making excuses for the meals being so late and the plates coming out so far apart. Then she charged everyone full price for a dismal service. Don't go here. There are many...
Read moreThe food here is amazing, my favorite dish is the honey chicken and I keep going back here just to get it again. They have a great selection of meals and everything from Asian dishes to pure American burgers. The restaurant usually is busy and the waitresses are always attentive and kind. The wait after you order is usually not too long and they definitely have some truly talented staff in the kitchen, I've never had a bad meal here ever. This is a nice restaurant but that also means that the prices are a little higher but I think the food is worth the price, it's not so easy to find such good food here in Goldsboro. The only thing I don't agree with is the prices of desserts they are just way too expensive in my opinion, a slice of cheesecake is at least $10. This would be a good place to go on a date or to like celebrate a birthday. I've only been here with one or two people so I can't comment on how they would do with a large group of people. They do serve alcohol but I've never had any alcohol here so I can't comment on it any further. The restaurant has alot of seating available and a bar area with seating as well. The restaurant is decorated very nicely and has always been clean when I have come here. They usually play music all the time and I think they even have live musicians that are just starting out on certain days. I would say you could bring kids here but it's not exactly super kid friendly and I'm not sure if they even have a kids menu to be honest. I'm not sure if there are many vegetarian options. There is limited parking close to the restaurant but if you are willing to walk a short distance then there is a parking lot not too far from the restaurant. I'm not sure how wheel chair friendly it would be to get through the front door of the restaurant but inside I think it would be wheel chair friendly mostly but the bathroom in my opinion would not be good for someone in a wheel chair. I would definitely...
