I usually love Labrars for their prices and the usual excellent quality of food and coffee they serve. Other than the long waits during morning rush, even if you place an online order 20-30 mins in advance, you have to wait around 15-20 mins due to the amount of people that there is in the morning, or missing chips, which had happened several time, I never had any issues with food quality, until today.
I placed an online order about 20 mins before getting there and then I had to wait around 15 mins till get to the cash register, I was glad my food was ready by then and left. I got to my job and started eating my sandwich and this (image attached) came out of it. At first I was going to swallow it because I thought it was idk the cheese or the bun that was feeling a bit funny in my mouth, but I was this long piece of plastic. There was no more of it in there, but this is a choking a hazard and a serious health threat if you don't know what you are putting in people's food. And to add up, they forgot my chips again 😭. I do not want to throw you guys under the bus, but this is crazy! I love your coffee shop, the prices, and the food (can't comment much on costumer service, all I can say is: It's okay, could be better but does not bother that much), but if a child was eating this sandwich, they could've swallowed this without giving any second thoughts. I couldn't go back to y'all and let you know because I was already late for work and I know you guys still had people going in, but I wanted to make y'all...
Read moreI was in town for the day and popped in to this coffee shop and I was not disappointed. I don't usually go for the sweet drinks (I walked in for a cup of decaf) but I couldn't resist trying the Dirty Grandma's Hot Chocolate. It was probably one of the best coffee drinks I have ever had in my life! Between the Mexican cinnamon and chocolate, along with the, in my case, decaf, shot of espresso and a little milk, it was absolutely fantastic! It almost had a little bit of a pecan nutty taste which I'm assuming is the Mexican cinnamon. It wasn't too sweet but it felt like the biggest indulgence for someone who does not drink "fancy" coffee drinks. I would never willingly hit up a Star... you know what, as I don't care for their burnt beans. It's a good thing I don't live next door to this coffee shop. I think I would probably be there every day! Definitely do not leave without trying this amazing drink. In addition to all of the coffee greatness, the staff was patient, kind and incredibly helpful. They even ask if I wanted to write poetry for their contest. I let them know that they probably didn't want to read mine! Hahaha....
Read moreLabrar coffee is an amazing place on all accounts. The drinks are intentionally crafted and delicious, the tortas are heavenly, and the atmosphere is wonderful. They even have a cute outdoor area with picnic tables and cornhole in the back. My favorite part is how the owners are constantly creating community with writing contests, local artwork, cup painting competitions, and fun events. Not only does the coffee shop uplift youth in the community, but they also ethically and intentionally source all of their beans and ensure that the coffee workers are paid their fair compensation. The owners are wonderful and go the extra mile to make sure that everyone has an amazing experience. Not only will you receive delicious, unique drinks, incredible food, and kind and welcoming service, but you will also be supporting worthy causes when you visit. 10/10 recommend, it is a MUST try...
