Went here even after being told how bad this place is. I was up for the challenge and wanted to find out for myself! As soon as I walked in the only other table with guests were sending their food back. Still I would not be influenced and continued to place my order. The server was very friendly and understood my request to not include ANY Bell peppers because of an allergy. First my wonton soup arrived and they must use food coloring to get the wontons that shade of yellow. I ate the soup anyway and it was ok, not great but edible and I needed to warm up. Then my egg roll came. This filled entirely with undercooked and bland cabbage. I have never had an eggroll like this in my life. What a shame. My entrée arrives and I noticed it has fried rice though I did not order it so the server takes it back and replaces the fried rice with white rice as I asked. I’m eating and it’s tasting OK I get to my third bite and I happen to notice on the plate, it has green bell peppers throughout. I called the waitress over and she tells me she completely forgot to put it on the order. She suggests that I just picked them out and continue eating my meal. I tried to explain to her that this is an allergy not a dietary preference. She kept trying to convince me that if I drink water and eat the ice cream that came with it I should be OK, she then insists on getting me a new order without bell peppers and says that I have to pay the bill so I may as well let them try again. Plate number three comes out and I see a bell pepper in there right away. She proceeds to pick out the bell pepper and tells me OK. It’s fine now . I am so ready at this point to just walk the hell out. Then the unhappy owner comes over and tells me she will remake it without bell peppers and with white rice and give it to me to go. Fine just do it so I can get out of here , she brings me the order no discount on the bill which I really wasn’t expecting considering the way they were handling my allergy. Needless to stay this place, though they have a very friendly server. They are not qualified to make a meal...
Read moreGave Tokyo Peking a third chance out of convenience because it delivered and it was Friday... Worse than the first and second!!! Thinking the third time was a charm (not even close), it turned out to be a nightmare. The guy that took the order over the phone was RUDE/IMPOLITE/DISCOURTEOUS/UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!! I couldn't even complete each of my entree order without him abruptly saying "WHAT ELSE?!" As soon as I said "dinner special beef..." He sharply cut me off saying "WHAT ELSE?!" Which leads me to saying... What I had ordered over the phone was not how I wanted or even close. The food was extremely bland; hot and sour soup is more sweet vegetable broth... None of our entrées were spicy like I had requested. So the guy who took my order decided to ignore my modifications to make it spicy. For amount you pay for the food, amount of food, service and quality here, it's not worth it. It was definitely not worth $42 that I spent for tasteless vegetables, sweet soup and almost 5 cups of bland fried rice... Yes that's right the dinner specials have 3/4 of rice and 1/4 of what entrée you order. So $10.95-$12.95/entrée for just unflavored yellow rice w/ peas and carrots. I would never recommend this awful place to anyone. Should have sucked it up and went to a buffet for a lot less than what we spent here. It doesn't deserve a single star. Three chances and each time the experience was worse...
Read moreI normally don’t post negative reviews because I get that sometimes things get busy. But placing my order at 6:40 (three sushi rolls and a honey garlic chicken...not a huge order) with a promise it would be here at 7:20 and it’s an hour later. I called the restaurant at 7:30 and was told they were busy and the delivery driver was on their way. Okay, I’m good with that. It’s friday night. I call again at 8:00 when the food hadn’t arrived. I was met with a horrible attitude and “what do you want me to do about it?” I asked to speak to a manager and was told she’s too busy, she’s not going to be any nicer, etc. I am horrified. I’ve worked in customer service positions and had angry customers complain. I always did what I could to make things right, even a simple “I’m sorry for the wait, let me get my manager” goes a long way. This? I am sorry to say I will not be ordering from this place again. I still have yet to receive my order as I write this review. We receive much better service from DoorDash and UberEats restaurants. Moral of the story?...
