I’m always reminded how good Brew Bracher’s is when I go 😭 Especially on a Sunday! #fyp #food #foodie #louisiana #batonrouge

Pro tip: not worth leaving a tip when you order, because there is no service. Also some prices on printed menu are not correct. First time visit for me by myself. Good food. Fair price. No service (more like self service). I dined in. No hostess to seat you, so I was a little confused. Luckily I followed an old couple who knew what they were doing. Order at bar, get your own table. Side salad comes out a fridge (if you order one) and cashier fills your drink cup as soon as you order and pay at the counter. They call your name when your food is ready to pick up. I drink a lot unfortunately when I eat, and my water ran out. I pushed through my meal instead of getting back up to find a refill. Pictures include side salad, bread pudding (good value), sausage and chicken gumbo, and Cajun fried fish.

Stopped in for the 1st time. Went to the counter to order. Decided on the half and Half poboy with small onion rings and a water. Total with tip was $25. Cam sit anywhere and they call your name over the speaker. All the condiments and today boxes are accessible for EVERYONE. The shrimp side had 4 shrimp on it which were cold. The oysters had six shrimp and were hot. Guess the shrimp are precooked. The poboy BREAD IS AMAZING. The onion rings were so cold that I took them to go and airfried when I got home. A kid across from me had a kids plate and it was full of shrimp. Next time I try them, I will order a kids meal and pay for the bread separately. That way, I will have an actual poboy.

It's not a restaurant that has waitress/ waiters. You go to the counter and you place your order they call your name you pick it up. But you can eat in there. You leave the dishes on the Table and there is a guy that is cleaning the tables. I noticed he was doing a really good job wiping down all the tables and chairs; even the edge of the table. The food was delicious. The spiciness of the Cajun seasoning got to me so I couldn't finish my grilled shrimp and fish but that's okay, my husband didn't complain he was more than happy to finish mine. I love the spice but the spice does not love me. My husband had me get something non spicy so I got a blue Burger just the burger since I already had the sides. The burger was cooked perfectly and had really good flavor and a lot of blue cheese on it which I love. My husband had the Cajun fish with an etouffee on it and he absolutely loved it. My only criticism is that the dressing cup for the salad wasn't full. a lot of places do this and I don't like it, you really need to full the cup full with dressing nothing worse than undressed lettuce. But because so many places do this and it seems to be a thing I'm not knocking a star. I just know to ask for extra dressing. Besides the fish, shrimp, etouffee, and burger were the star of the dinner and they deserved the 5 stars. I just wish I could have eaten the rest of my original dinner it was good and to hear my husband afterwards say no complaints I was more than happy to finish yours it was so good num num in my tummy with a smirk on his face, just made me wish I had some Tums or antacids with me. If we get back in the area we will definitely be back and I will make sure my husband doesn't...

Let me start by saying, I used to work here as a bus boy. Working that position taught me how disgusting Brew Bacher's is. Just to give you an idea of how dirty it is back there. I would never ever eat there again. Even if I did I would never eat on any plate from Brew Bacher's. I've never seen a single cook wash their hand. The Food is good, I will not deny that. But if you have standards on how clean a place should be then don't eat there. I really do not want any of you getting sick. When dishes would go through the wash sometimes they would come out a little dirty. If I was washing dishing I would re-wash it. but you don't know how many times i worked with someone and they just allowed that to go through. Does the owner or the manager care if it's dirty, NO! Listen to this, I recall picking up the bottles of sanitizer and seeing a fungus at at least the size of a dinner plate and at least as high as you ankle. When the health board comes to tell them what's dirty they have a bus boy follow behind him and clean the places he points out. But the problem with that is they don't continue cleaning that spot. Brew Bacher's should be shut down due to the owner's negligence and down-right incompetence. Please, I am concerned about your safety and health. Do not eat at this...

It's a cute little place. The food was pretty mediocre. Standard American bar and pub food. Nothing to get too worked up over. The prices are below average and the flavor is reflected in that fact. We had a large group so we didn't want too much fuss. This place does not have any fuss, let alone too mych fuss. You arder at the counter and when your food is ready I think they bring it or you go pick it up. (I was busy catching up with family I hadn't seen in awhile) They have a good selection of beer and booze. My husband's Reuben was a bit dry but I dipped it the au jus that came with my meal and it was more palatable. I ordered the chicken drusilla. It was interesting. Very different and unique combination of foods. The food was very average. We were visiting from Missouri and the food was more bland mid-western food than we expected. Do not misunderstand, I wasn't disappointed by any means. We did order a bread pudding to-go. It was delectable!! The show was stolen by that dessert!! Overall, we got what we came for, a decent, affordable meal, a place to sit and visit with family, something to drink and no dishes to clean...
