I’ve been dying to try this place for some time, as I’ve always heard glowing recommendations for it, but I was highly disappointed. First of all, we ordered dinner ahead of time on the website. We ordered around 1:30 pm for our food to be ready for 5:15 pm after we picked the kids up for family movie night. The restaurant mistakenly cooked our food right when we ordered it and then had the audacity to ask if we would come get our food now. I said no and that we would like it to be ready for dinner. We were told it would be remade at dinner time. When we went to pick it up, surprise, surprise, the staff at that time had no idea what we were talking about, and we had to wait for the food to be made (which is no fun with a hungry three-year-old). We ordered the walnut shrimp, which I’m not even sure had actual shrimp in it. And the walnuts were CANDIED. And not lightly candied, either. It was like there were just sugar cubes in there. And then the sauce was full of sugar to boot. The cream cheese wontons were I guarantee you NOT made with cream cheese. It tasted like they were filled with sugary mayo. The orange chicken was also very sweet, but at least that’s to be expected. The pineapple fried rice tasted just off. The Thai basil beef was VERY good, so at least we had one edible dish. Overall, I will NOT be ordering...
Read moreSo the wife and I went on here tonight because she had heard that this place served pad Thai. From the beginning we should have known something was wrong at 8pm on a Saturday we were the only ones there. Ordered and appetizer of chicken and vegetable tempura which was out pretty quickly but was lacking in any flavor at all and was full of powdery chunks where the batter had not been mixed thoroughly. Then on to the clear soup which it was exactly as it said clear but also had no flavor and a few uncooked scallions and a mushroom slice in a beautifully chipped plastic bowl. So finally out comes the entree which mine came out 10 minutes before my wife's the hibachi fried rice and beef it was fried rice but had nothing in it maybe some leftover egg from something else they cooked earlier and some unseasoned meat that was some cut of beef. Then came the pad Thai it was a huge serving but none of it was good the chicken in the pad Thai had the texture of a precooked fajita chicken from a bag in the cold section of the grocery store and the sauce and flavor was off not like any pad Thai I had ever had or my wife had tried either. All around the tea was good the food was lacking in flavor and texture and the price for what was served was way more than it...
Read moreWe were disappointed eating here as this was a recommended "best asian food" in town. The atmosphere was clean, bright, and open. The food was disappointing. I had a side salad (paid extra for it), and it was a mere 5 leaves of iceberg lettuce swimming in a half cup of ranch. I had the orange chicken plate. The chicken had no flavor. The rice had more flavor than the chicken. My husband had the teriyaki chicken plate. The teriyaki sauce was more like a slurry than a glaze and was chunky. The plates could lose the huge orange slices and put more attention to better quality food. The service was less than par. our waitress would never check on us and would walk away quickly like we were bothering her to do her job by taking our order. I guess we were interrupting her lunch because she stood behind the drink counter eatting as we waited for our check. For the price we paid ($70 including tip) for 2 people, it was disappointing to see the lack of pride in the...
