Sports bar meets Texas Roadhouse - with some comfort food and lots of alcohol options.
I'll start by saying 1st and foremost that our server was AMAZING. She's the only reason this didn't get 2 stars.
Our group of 8 was quoted 15 minutes, then we proceeded to wait 30+ minutes in a high-traffic area at the entrance to the restaurant. The waiting area looked to have been being used as a storage area, so we had nowhere to sit or stand out of the way.
Then we were sat in a U-shaped booth, large enough for maybe 6 adults - though they told us it was big enough for 9! 8 of us sitting down had elbows touching and would've never been able to eat. We did ask to be moved, but had to wait another 10 minutes while they cleared a large high-top in the bar area.
We were greated by our amazing waitress while waiting for our new table, and she had drinks out in no time! She was upbeat, extremely friendly & professional, and highly competent!
The kitchen made a few errors - like forgetting my cobb salad and my nephews loaded fries - but thankfully our server did her best to make up for it. Drinks were never empty and we were regularly checked on.
Overall, food received mixed reviews. My cobb salad (a staple that any restaurant should get right) was amazing overall, but the chicken portion was tiny and the chicken was so dry! Greens, tomatoes, egg, blue cheese, cucumbers, and avocado were all super fresh & tasty. They can improve this easily.
Chili was excellent. Very beef-forward, great earthy & spicy flavors (cumin & chipotle?).
Fried pickles were a table favorite. Crispy & not greesy.
Burgers & fries were enjoyed. Club sandwiches were well-received, though the meat portions were underwhelming.
Boneless wings were a table favorite - especially the teriyaky.
Blackberry iced tea was pretty forgettable, which is unfortunate, because great non-alcoholic beverages are an easy way to keep locals coming back. Just add a touch more flavor....
Again - excellent service (aside from our host/wait experience) and food is about average for the area. I'll put it above Tailgaters & Cheddars - but well below BJ's as far as selection, taste, and quality for similar offerings.
I'll come back to share the servers name if I can remember it....
Read moreI visited this location on a Friday night, having had great experiences at the Peoria location, so I came in with high expectations. This was my first time dining here, and I was looking forward to a great meal and smooth service.
Shortly after we were seated, my drink was accidentally spilled. It wasn’t a big deal—we cleaned it up, and the team was notified so it could be replaced. However, after that, both my replacement drink and our table’s food took quite a while to arrive. The restaurant didn’t seem especially busy, so the delay was surprising. Both I and another guest at my table have worked in the service industry, so we understand how things can happen—but even with that in mind, the wait felt excessive to us.
Eventually, I mentioned to our server that my drink still hadn’t arrived. It came out about five minutes later. When our food finally arrived, one of the meals was missing entirely. We finished eating, and that dish still hadn’t been brought out. The server eventually let us know there had been a mix-up in the kitchen, so our table guest just asked to have it boxed to go. That took an additional 15 minutes.
I raised my concerns with the manager, as the overall experience had been disappointing to our group, but her response felt somewhat dismissive. She confirmed that the spilled drink and missing meal would be removed from our bill, and we were also given an additional discount, which was appreciated. Still, the service throughout the visit was lacking.
Unfortunately, I don’t plan to return to this location. There are many other restaurants in the area that consistently offer better...
