McDonald's — Restaurant in Gorham

Went in for 2 large coffee! July 16th, 2024 at around 4pm. Waited about 7 minutes! There were others waiting as well. We were all being ignored! Finally, another woman looked at me and shrugged. I said, “we should have gone thru the drive through as that is all they are looking after.” Her response was that she did go thru the drive through and they messed up her order! The manager over heard us talking and turned around … I suggested she look after the woman that went thru the drive through first. No apology to her, just handed out the stuff on the counter and turned to me! She said “what are you waiting for”….all I ordered were 2 large black coffee! She then proceeded to get a coffee filter out. I asked her if she was just going to make a pot?? She said yes and I told her I wanted my money back as I did not have time. We were on motorcycles with some groceries in our bags. There was stuff melting??? She proceeded to ring thru the return, and said under her breath …. thanks for speaking up sooner. At first I thought she meant the young man that took my order. I said, are you talking to me! She said yes and that it was people like me that made her hate her job and want to quit! She said did you pay cash or credit….I said what is your name..we asked each other the same question twice!!! She gave me a really long name, but because of her shirt I knew she was the manager! No name tag!! I asked her if she was the manager and she said yes! Young, very nice to look at with slight auburn/red hair and the rudest person I have ever been served by! So much more than this happened while I was standing there! She was so rude to so many people! She said she was having a bad day and that I should accept her behaviour! Really McDonalds…..I explained that we were the customer and that just because she was having a bad day, her behaviour to the customer should not waiver! I am from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 I have travelled thru Canada and a lot of the states. I love McDonalds coffee! Never, ever, ever, have I see anything like this!!! I had my motorcycle helmet on …my husband was outside with our bikes and had his on as well. We have communicators and he heard what she said to me! He could not believe it either. I was nice, a bit frustrated, and could not wait longer! 🤷‍♀️. If you read any of my reviews, it is usually to applaud good customer service. So...

Right away, this place is PACKED. Normally if I say that about a Mickey D's you'd think just a few people, but nah. There were about 100 people here, in and out, in the 45 minutes we were there. Didn't help that it was lunchtime, though. The service was pretty quick for being so busy, and this one had the kiosks with the place numbers which made it fantastic! The dining room was a bit disheveled and the bathrooms were a tiny bit messy, but I give them credit for focusing on the customer's more immediate needs. Food. Which was good. Hot and fresh. Well, as hot and fresh as McDonald's serves. The soda fountain area, again disheveled, was working to par. The burgers and fries were really good and tasty/crisp. A lot of staff made everything well. If traveling through this way in Vermont, we advise you to stop by. Just avoid...

Very unique since I've been to that last Maccas. Ordered on their touch display menu and was asked to sit at a table. They brought the food to me. Surprising, as I've only seen that at actual restaurants. They assisted me to a table that had an outlet to charge my phone. Almost immediately after I sat down, my order was brought to my table, a Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich with medium fries. Delicious and looked as if from a commercial. They also offered a complimentary mint after my meal. As I finished, they took my empty tray away and that was that. Never experienced a Maccas...
