I join the other 92 people who offered up 5 starts to this amazing bakery. I grew up in Philadelphia/New Jersey where finding your favorite bakery is a RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE. Many a conversation revolves around who has the best crumb bun, cinnamon buns, Italian bread, donuts....you get the gist. So, when I kept hearing about "The Bread Guy" I was like ok, this will be interesting. I have lived in Massachusetts for 40+ years and NEVER ONCE HAVE I HAD A GOOD BAKERY EXPERIENCE. My husband and I, both from Philly, joke that we have been pretending to like our local bakeries for 40 years, but not until you cross into the NY/NJ area can you get a decent bakery item--UNTIL NOW. Like HOLY SMOKES get over to this place, run...do not walk. The hardest decision is what to buy because every single things I have bought from this bakers has been OUTSTANDING. As a friend of mine says in her review...I am kinda sorry I found this place. It calls my name...and over to Grafton I go to "to just look", and every time I leave with something that is DELICIOUS. I could continue to go on and on but let me just say, THIS PLACE DESERVES EVERY GREAT REVIEW THEY RECEIVE. Their baked good are outstanding, it's a happy place where the employees and the owner are HAPPY TO GREET YOU (I miss this from my Philly days) and you leave feeling like you won the lottery. Their prices are reasonable as well. I can not say enough good about this place. The other subtle but really special thing about Bread Guy Breads is the partnership with the Grafton Public Schools through the Grafton Achieving Independence Now program (GAIN), the students are learning skills alongside Chuck, who is a former school principal. It's a match made in bread heaven for anyone who gets to experience this place. We are very fortune to have this in our area and I only hope Chuck can continue to live out his passion so we may all...
Read moreThis is some of the best bread I have ever had, to the point that I ate a whole sourdough loaf on my own in one day. When I visited, all of the staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful. All of the different options were explained, and I was amazed at how many options they had for bread, but also for quick meals or snacks, such as some muffins, pretzels, and their savory rolls. I ended up getting a garlic cheddar sourdough, a savory pastrami roll, and a lemon poppy seed muffin, all for less than $20. All of the items I got were delicious, and they were truly gone within the same day, I just couldn't resist! I highly recommend stopping in and getting anything in the store, since I imagine everything is equally as good. I never thought I'd be the person to have a designated bread store I go to, but I definitely...
Read moreLet me tell you something, The Bread Guy, it's a great bakery. The bread there, you wouldn't believe it. They've got all kinds of bread, and it's all fantastic. You know, the kind of bread you can really sink your teeth into, if you know what I mean.
The only problem is, they don't open early enough for me. I like to grab my coffee from Donut Star and then swing by The Bread Guy, but they're never open when I'm around. It's a shame really, because I'd love to try some of their other stuff.
But listen, thems the breaks. I'm just saying, if you're looking for some really top-notch bread, The Bread Guy is the...
