The food is alright, but they really should advertise the fact that there are no servers. You are your own server pretty much. You have to order your food on your phone and have to go up to the bar to order your drinks and bring them to your table yourself. Everything is plastic or paper. There are no real plates, silverware or glasses for dine in. It’s all in to go containers or plastic cups for drinks. The beer was not cold to add to it, which was disappointing, and it is a complete waste of paper products. All of the food was in to go containers and came out in a bag. For to go order that’s fine but for seated dining it is a little annoying. Food was alright, nothing to special, meats seemed to be over cooked but the French fires were the best part. Also very expensive for the experience of all paper and plastic. Then to add to it the people working seemed way to laid back to be running a restaurant. The kid that brought us our bag of food was in a sweatshirt, sweatpants and slippers...I get being comfortable at work but come on lol. Employees were wearing baggy sweatshirts, ripped jeans, just didn’t seem professional for the nice interior inside. I get it they aren’t doing the standard dine in experience, but they should still be dressing somewhat professional, not like they just rolled out of bed lol. Also barely anyone was wearing a mask, or it was at their chin and everything exposed, which didn’t bother me because I am not to worried but for others that are nervous about the pandemic it could cause an issue. Then we had to “tip” at the end which made no sense since we did everything ourself from ordering, picking up drinks, cleaning up the table, etc...what was there to tip for? I understand taking COVID-19 precautions but they should allow dine in customers to have actual dining wear and be served on, that’s why we are coming out because we are tired of to go...
Read morestopped in for lunch for the first time. a tap house type place. first impression, atmosphere, service, and food are all good.
atmosphere is a little dark (a lot of wood), but comfortable and relaxing. a large bar area with tables and a smaller dining area to view the pizza making.
menu is what I would expect (based on decor). a variety of tap beers, better than pub type food, and brick oven pizza. they have standard items, but also some unique things and a couple of unique takes on classic items.
i had the pretzel and a pepperoni pizza. she had the reuben with sweet potato fries. the pretzel was warm and good with a side of really good whole grain mustard. the pizza was very good with a lighter good quality sauce with quality mozzarella. she also liked the reuben (huge sandwich) and the fries. drinks were normal and consistent.
a couple of very minor drawbacks (that won't stop me from going back)...
no dress code for employees (street clothes / whatever they want to wear). they don't necessarily need uniforms, but it doesn't match the decor / atmosphere.
they handed us a drink menu, but then we had to pull up the food menu on our phones. I get the covid thing, but if you can pass out a drink menu, you can pass out a food menu.
asked for salt and they gave us little take out packets like at McDonald's. kinda cheesy. (again, i get the covid thing, but everywhere is fully open now. keep the shakers behind the bar. when someone asks for it take the 30 secs to sanitize / wipe it down)
for a real restaurant / "tap & table" type place with this kind of atmosphere, little things like these can make a difference between 4 or 5 stars.
overall, I really like the place and will go back and try more of the food. they also do comedy shows and have live music on the weekends. will check that...
Read moreI have never written a google review but feel so compelled by my horrible experience that I have to. The day after dining at the Grafton restaurant my credit card information was used at several LOCAL stores/restaurants near the Grafton location. I was able to get the charges reversed and called the restaurant as a courtesy because I couldn't be sure it wasn't an employee. The coincidence of having used my card at Reunion for the first time in 3 weeks and having it stolen is a bit too much to ignore. Unfortunately, when I explained the situation I was treated very rudely. The manager explained the issue to the owner while I was on the phone and the owner said "So, what does she want me to do about it" and then answered the phone and said "yeah?!" There was no, hello- no, I'm sorry to hear what happened, or please tell me what happened - all the normal things you might expect an owner or any decent human to say to a customer. As I proceeded to explain what I think might have happened, he just yelled at me, and said it would never be one of his employees, he was rude and continued to talk over me. I didn't want anything other than to extend the courtesy to him. If it was an employee they could very easily do it to another customer. I would think a business owner would want to be made aware of a potential issue so his customers are protected. It was as if I was a complete annoyance to him and he couldn't be bothered.
This was my second visit to Reunion. The first wasn't great but I gave it another shot and regret it. If you like mediocre food and an owner that doesn't care about his customers and is downright rude then this is your place.
Do yourself a favor and go a little farther down the street to the Grafton Grill. You won't regret...
