Pearl Cafe Grafton — Restaurant in Grafton

This was our First time here after living in Grafton for many years. FRESH DELICIOUS HIGHLY Recommend! We had given up on Chinese Food as (The one that’s the Name of a Precious Green Stone) a mile away Had several owners Prices kept going up Quality kept going down. The last time it was inedible. Uncooked yet still Burnt. :( dripping in grease reheated SUPER OILY DARK RICE. In this economy If you’re paying for Takeout it should be at least descent. As you can see from my photos Everything was fresh not dripping in grease & Large portions. I wish I had taken a photo of the rice. It wasn’t the DARK REHEATED STUFF many places give you. It light in color moist and perfect, FRESH lots of pork. I only wish it had a little egg in it. We ordered plain pork fried rice so maybe that’s why. No complaints though! My Sesame chicken was delicious great sauce not overly sweet and goopy like some places. My husband enjoyed his Egg Fu Young very much. Crab Rangoons were perfect, Fresh crisp not greasy. The Boneless Spareribs were ALL MEAT! I was shocked. They weren’t the Little scraps of Mostly fat many places serve you. I can’t comment on Atmosphere as my husband picked up takeout so I left it blank. He said they were pleasant & Friendly. Sadly Prices keep going up on EVERYTHING especially with recent tariffs. Egg rolls were really good, shredded beef with string beans in a garlic sauce, were excellent! Boneless spare ribs were alright, not much flavor could have used more sauce on them... wonton soup was really good and A small order of pork lo mein for tomorrow's lunch....I was shocked however in my 30+ year's of ordering Chinese food across the country that none of the dishes I ordered come with steamed white rice 😲 so that was disappointing. Price point was a little more then I expected, however I am in the north east. As a truck driver parked close by it was nice getting a delivery from the local Chinese food. Ordered food last night from pearl. Service was extremely nice. However, once getting home and biting into a crab Rangoon, it was instantly clear that the food was bad. A second bite and even a different piece was taken and tried to still show it was bad. Not only bad but sickening. The chicken fingers were tried and also tasted like spoiled food. The spareribs were looked at and tried but also appeared to be old, rubbery, and undercooked. The entire meal for my family was tried, given a chance but shown to be spoiled on each level. 70$ worth of food was thrown in the trash and three of us felt like getting sick was the next factor after eating the food.
