I went yesterday (Friday) and ordered an ice coffee with sweet cream cold foam. I was impressed the coffee was smooth and I then had decided this place would be added to my weekend routine. So today (Saturday) I go back and there's a different person working the counter. I ordered 2 of the exact same thing iced coffee from the menu with sweet cream cold foam. I watched her make 4 espresso shots and put 2 into each cup. She then fills the cups with milk. Immediately I thought she must have had a few orders before ours but I looked around and everyone had drinks so I politely ask her if those were our drinks and she said yes. I then told her that we only ordered iced coffee with sweet cream cold foam and she said this is iced coffee and I said those have milk in them and she said iced coffee has milk in it. As a daily coffee drinker I know the difference between an iced coffee and a latte she then told me that I shouldn’t have ordered an iced coffee I should’ve ordered a cold brew which isn’t even on the menu, on the menu it is listed as an iced coffee. Then another barista comes over and I ask that her how do you make a latte and she said espresso and milk I told her that is exactly what’s in that cup so how would you make an iced coffee and she said you would get the cold brew from the fridge. I ultimately don’t have a problem with mistakes being made because we are human but when you make a mistake you don’t blame the customer and say that they ordered it wrong if it was your mistake just own it and move on. They also mentioned that when people come in and ask for an iced coffee a lot of the times they mean a latte, well as a coffee drinker if I ask for an iced coffee I don’t mean a latte I mean iced coffee. They are...
Read moreMy favorite barista works on Friday--she makes the best coffee. Unfortunately, they are not consistent. It's a great place to work, though; the wifi is fast, the decor is vibey and the music is good. It's a little hard to find, even if you're looking for it-there is no actual open sign until you get inside--and it's tucked up in a corner. (It's part of the clothing store that it's next to O.V. Yonder.) I don't always feel welcomed; unfortunately, that's another thing that's inconsistant--it depends on who you get--of course, I could just be feeling weird vibes lol; idk. It's not as busy as the other coffee shops I frequent, though, which is a little strange because it's a great...
Read moreOlivia's has quickly become one of my favorite shops. The baristas are very friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. The coffee is of exceptional quality, and they always produce great tasting drinks. I can tell they work hard to ensure superlative espresso shots are pulled. They make their own syrups which is a refreshing change from mainstream artificial brands. The menu is very captivating and the baristas are eager to make recommendations or suggest alterations to...
