Los Nares — Restaurant in Granbury

You know, when you go into a new restaurant and it's a mom and pop place, you're never sure what you're going to get. Let me tell you, when I walk into a Mexican food place and all I see eating there are Hispanic people, I know I'm at the right place! This wasn't some Americanized Mexican food place, it was the real deal. Was it ever. The service was lightning fast. When you go in, if you're eating there, just grab a table. No reason to go to the counter. That's for to go orders. Our server came out very quickly and took our order. She spoke very broken English but it was really easy to communicate. I loved it! That brought some chips and salsa to our table. And we ordered some guacamole and queso. They were fine. For our main meals we got combo fajitas and birria tacos. Boy were we in a for a treat. The fajita meat was tasty. The homemade corn tortillas were not like any I've ever had before! They were super soft and slightly brown and they tasted like I was in tortilla heaven! Soooo freaking good. The birria tacos were great. Cooked well and tasty. We also got some elotes and they were off the chain good! Everything Was Great! First time eating here since they open in Granbury. My food was delicious, and I will be going back to try what other dishes they have. I ordered the lunch plates, 3 cheese enchiladas, rice, and beans. I will say yes the food was wonderful , the prices were a bit high , but I suppose if you want great food you will pay for it also the dish I order was 11.99 and I order a sweet tea all rounding our to be $14.00 and some change. I went through the drive through but the customer service was pleasant I was first into to a young lady not flunt with English, but she sure did try before having to exchange with another associate with English language comprehension. High five to her for doing her best and trying and learning. I would so far recommend this new restaurant, and I hope you give it a try for yourself . **Update from last post as to not mislead others.

9/22 The food is still excellent, but unfortunately they are no longer affordable, and I would not recommend this restaurant for medium - large families. Their prices have nearly doubled and chips and salsa are no longer complementary with purchase of a meal, you are now charged $3.99. I understand inflation is impacting small businesses, but chips and salsa are a really cheap way to cushion the hit of doubling prices.

6/22 - 5 Star Rating Quick and friendly service, food was VERY affordable and absolutely delicious! The Chili Relleno with Ranchero sauce was one of the best I've ever had, Enchiladas were also excellent, the salsa they served with the chips was too spicy for my personal taste, but overall a great experience.
