At Lift The Bar they make you feel like you're family. They also have the most machines I've seen in any gym in Granbury including the YMCA. The staff are never in bad moods or at least if they are you'd never know. That's called professionalism. When running a business you can't bring your drama around the customer's. They also have a lot of free weights for the most serious bodybuilders. They have memberships in which they draft your bank account if you don't want to worry about being late to pay or you can pay by month. The membership for 1 person is $35/mo. Pay by month is $40. It's always nice and cool. They sell energy drinks which are 10% to members. It's open 24/7. You get a key fob to get in, don't have to mess with or memorize any push button codes that can sometimes be janky. They have restrooms with 4 showers in both female and male. There is handicapped parking. It's air conditioned at 70° F. There is an extra room in the back with more weights and some specialized machines. They had a contest last month to name the back room. I actually won the name for the doors inside the back room and another client won the name for the outside of the door as you're going into it. The prize was win a free T-shirt or a free month. Of course, I took the free month. Also, you can bring a guest for $5 a visit and if it's after hours there's a tack under the counter to put the bill on. If you need advice on any machines or the proper way to lift you can ask and it's free of charge. They also offer trainers at varying but reasonable prices. All in all, it's by far my favorite gym ever. I don't think I will ever change gyms as long...
Read moreTHIS IS THE GYM. I know you've been looking for one . This is it . After calling several different places here in Granbury , EVERYONE wanted 120-190.00 upfront to open your membership , as well as a 1,2, or 3 year contract . I felt really helpless, what people in this economy can afford something like that ? As a last ditch effort I called this place and spoke with the owner Dave. After explaining how upsetting it was to find out the expense of a simple gym membership , he actually asked "WHAT WAS I ABLE TO PAY?"... no one ever asked that. They just wanted money or for me to leave . He was actually willing to work with me.. I almost cried . He was really personable , understanding , and isn't like the rest of the very obvious cons here in Granbury. How the gym ? Clean , organized . Not too over whelming . CLEAN BATHROOM AND SHOWERS , and wild enough . He invested into a kids daycare for when you work out . My toddler loves it , and cries when it's time to go and for only 15 bucks a month . There's no childcare n Granbury that does that lol n she can be up there for up to two hours . Give this place a call .....
Read moreFirst rate gym! Waaaaay better than Ahoco. The staff are incredibly nice and not pretentious at all. They don't have super egos like at some gyms. All the people that go there are nice too and helpful. There are lots of different trainers at reasonable prices but you can get free help without an attitude. Jennifer is one of the owners and she is so nice. They also have showers 4 or 5 in each restroom. It's VERY clean and the machines are well taken care of. They have a lot of machines too. It's well lit and you get a key fob to get in, no punching of some numbered key pad that you can't see very well at night. This gym is for anyone starting out to the most serious lifters. And just when you think you couldn't possibly use all the machines there's even more in the back behind the double doors. Mostly for dead lifting but there is a good oblique machine in there. They have 7 TVs to watch, treadmills, bicycles, ellipticals and a stair climber. Even when there are a lot of people there there's so many machines you never have to wait. THE BEST GYM EVER. Contracts or no contract pay by...
