We had lunch in mid-March about 11:40 am on a Thursday. The parking around the restaurant was full indicating to us that it is a popular place for lunch.
There is only one obvious handicapped parking space, and it was occupied, so we went behind the restaurant and found a space with enough area to open the door for wheelchair access.
To get to the front of the building we went in the driveway beside the outside seating area. It may be a safety concern to use this driveway if/when cars or trucks are going around the building. It's a perfect place to get run over by a fast moving vehicle with low visibility around the building.
Once inside, there are benches for waiting comfortably when it is busy. The receptionist seated us at a comfortable table and area big enough for my wheelchair to not block the walkway.
The food was excellent and well presented. I had the side salad with tomatoes, cheese, and hard boiled eggs and ranch dressing. The bread rolls were straight out of the oven, hot and melted the butter quickly!
I had the chicken tenders and Randy's fries. My husband had the cheese steak sandwich also with Randy's fries. While not a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, it was very tasty with well-done steak bites, red and green peppers, and cheddar cheese. Randy's fries are thin sliced similar to potato chips; crispy but not as much as regular potato chips.
Both meals were very generous and I brought more home than I ate there.
We had dessert, the chocolate cheesecake recommended by our server. She was right, it was very creamy and tasty!!
The name says Randy's bar and grill, so people who want more than iced tea, sodas, or water have many choices from the bar.
There were at least eight TV screens with various sports including the current March Basketball Madness, wrestling, horse racing, and the commentary screens.
We didn't check out the restroom facilities, so I can't confirm that it is fully wheelchair handicapped accessible.
We had a great lunch. The people were friendly and helpful. We will plan to return another time when we are in Granbury again.
We are very...
Read moreOur first time. Service was great. Thanks Destiny! Margaritas were a bit tart at first but were very good. Chips, queso and salsa were all great (I even got some salsa to go) the rolls were wonderful and the cinnamon butter that came with them was a perfect match! I had the 8 oz. Sirloin (med) green beans and a side salad. The sirloin was cooked perfect and had a great taste! The green beans reminded me of how my granny cooked them! The side salad, eventhough it was just lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheese and boiled eggs was very good, nothing over powered the other ingredients and the ranch dressing was great as well! My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak (he said it was ok, that he had had better) loaded mashed potatoes were good and the spicy mac & cheese left you wanting more! The portions were a perfect size and you definitely get your money's worth! The only regret I have is that I didn't have room to give the carrot cake a try! They had sports on the TV's and music playing, which by the way was at a perfect level that you could enjoy the music and still have a conversation at a normal tone! I would recommend this place to my friends, family and clients! We will definitely go back! Everything seemed fresh (nothing frozen). All I can say is Chef Gorden Ramsay...... you need to give this place a try! I am a bit of a "foodie" I feel food should make you want "to dance"! Yes I wanted to dance! Keep up...

Service started out excellent, food and drinks arrived quickly and waitress very attentive, but then became too attentive where we could barely talk. The host also stopped by on 2 occasions which contributed to the interruptions. Finally we asked for 2 go boxes as we had ordered way too much and that's when our waitress disappeared as well as the host. Finally the waitress returned and gave us our boxes for to go, but then instead of waiting for us to finish and let us finish our conversation, she starts asking for us to hand all the plates, trash etc. We did so and then we realized she left with EVERYTHING INCLUDING MOST OF OUR FOOD WE DID NOT HAND HER AS IT WAS GOING TO BE OUR TO GO. Iritated that we spent the end of dinner clearing plates and table for her instead of being able to finish our conversation. We were in a booth, not a table, where she could have done it easily without our assistance so this could have waited until we had left and had been able to get our to go boxes.
Would still recommend this restaurant that used to be Montanas. Food and service is good for the most part and this was just probably 1...
