Vampire Penguin Granbury — Restaurant in Granbury

Tonight was our family's first time to experience the Granbury Vampire Penguin. My husband & I were both hesitant to try it but our adult daughter insisted we check it out at least once. We are both glad we did! What an experience! The service was stellar! The gentleman taking orders (maybe owner, maybe manager) was so upbeat & positive! He was so patient with us & our 3 grandkids. He may not know it, but he successfully played 20 questions with them & captured there allegiance. He hand delivered each of our desserts too. The dessert was magnificent!!! The presentation was A++ quality, almost too pretty to eat. It tasted as good as it looked too. My husband is not a huge dessert fan but said this was the best dessert he has had in a long time. All of us got different flavors & no one left a crumb on the plate. My granddaughter was polling everyone on their rating of this new dessert place...1 to 10. Nothing below 9 was given. Try it out, I promise, you will not be disappointed!!! Congrats Granbury VP, you knocked it out...

We’ve been coming here since this place opened and everything we’ve tried has been really good so far. The reason for two stars is on a separate visit we got here at 12pm when they were supposed to be open and we were sitting at the outside tables waiting and the workers were inside and could clearly see us sitting there but waited until around 12:15 to open the door. Tonight we walked in at 8:30pm and we ordered and were then informed that we could only get them to go. Since when? If you’re open until 9pm, you serve until 9pm. If you’re open, there’s no reason we can’t sit to eat. I believe it’s because of laziness personally. Also, we’ve never been offered or told about the reward cards and as many times as we’ve been here we would’ve already earned a few freebies. I noticed them and asked the girl if they just started them and she said “oh yeah, no they’ve always been here”. It’s not hard to be attentive and serve...

We visited when they'd just opened for the day, so there wasn't anyone in the building... Hoping they get more visitors throughout the day because their staff are amazing. The person behind the counter had fantastic recommendations (yabba dabba doo and candyland). We took him up on both and were not disappointed. He chatted with us about the origins of the store, what makes each store different (now I wanna go to FL to see their surfboard counters), and my son's band tee. Definitely a great personality to have in customer service. Overall, fantastic food and service and we'll be back if...
