Just coming back to Michigan from the South and wanted to get my husband a good burger... Rays was GREAT! Food was perfect, customer service was on point and very friendly and wow were they fast. Everything cooked to order (small patty burgers though so they will be well done) and served hot. Both of us had drinks, fries and a burger for right around $10. Perfect for a quick low budget lunch especially if you are in a hurry. We will return for sure.
Visited today 12/02/2020... amazing service once again! Ciara the cook went above and beyond making sure our order was perfect and I'd like to add that her customer service along with the others I had spoke to was impeccable and absolutely fantastic. Everything was in order to protect employees and guests from covid. Everyone was wearing masks properly and even enforced a texting option to let us know when our food was ready to avoid germs or contamination. I felt safe there in a world that isnt so much these days. A simple hamburger joint that goes so far beyond expectations... many could take and use this example. A fine establishment with the best employees and customer service in all of west Michigan! Great job Ciara and team!!! I wish there was an option for 10 stars... you all deserve it and...
Read moreOne of my all time favorite places in Grand Haven. I have been eating here since the early 70s. Unfortunately the new owners don't take the same pride as the originals, out side of fish sandwich was rock hard inside was cold and extremely fishy, my dog wouldn't even eat it. Also got a triple cheese and it has almost no flavor. Only thing you could taste are the pickles and ketchup because they put so much on it. Their website says they close at 9 pm, they still had the blinds drawn and the outside lights were off couldn't tell.if they were even open had to call and find out. The staff was completely unprofessional, 2 of the girls were wearing t-shirts that were longer than their shorts and the t-shirts weren't even that long, one girl was wearing a zip up sweatshirt and didn't look like she had anything else on, the staff was throwing ice cubes at each other, snapping towels at each other and throwing wasted food at each other. I was sadly disappointed by one of my childhood favorite places to eat, the new owners don't have the same respect and take the same pride the Martz family did...
Read moreI'm going to call this what it is. It took two visits, spaced 5 years apart before I felt like I was able to give it a proper review. It serves burgers, shakes, some onion pedals, "those crinkle fries", and probably a few other things. I bet this establishment gave the red and yellow place a run for their money back in the day. I bet the red and yellow place got their red from Ray's. I got the double deluxe, it was really good, it wasn't what I was expecting because it wasn't what I was expecting. It was almost everything the quick drive thru window and speaker phone couldn't quite offer, but it could offer. It was a longer wait, it was a fresher burger, it was a double and it was a deluxe, it was a cold Coke with the right ICE to Coke ratio, it was onion pedals, it was service with a smile. It wasn't a quick drive thru, it wasn't those delicious "French fries", it wasn't buy one get one for a dollar, it wasn't a combo. It did hook me, and I'll be back. Thanks for proper understanding as to what Ray's is about! Keep up...
