Really good food here and very plentiful. Wife and I shared an order of potstickers and they were very good; they had a nice crisp top and the dipping sauce had great flavor. We split a combo of orange chicken and Mongolian beef, this meal came with fried rice, an egg roll and a cream cheese wonton. The orange chicken was awesome, great cook on the chicken with a great sauce. The Mongolian beef was also good but paled in comparison to the chicken. The egg roll was very good too, I find most overly chewy and mushy inside; this roll had a nice crisp wrapper and a filling that tasted good and wasn't like mush inside. This place has table service and the wait staff were very nice and efficient while keeping conversation interruptions to a minimum. Update 2019: Still awesome, HUGE portions, Mongolian beef was excellent as were the ribs. (especially the ribs!)

Where to start? I had heard good things and was excited to try Ginger but was quickly let down. I wasn’t sure if the waitress was being pushy for fun or just being pushy. The atmosphere inside is like a tomb; boring, lacking any passion and far too quiet for a restaurant. Now on to what really matters, the food. The food matches the interiors. The fried dumplings were delicious but everything else is mediocre at best. The dynamite shrimp is horrible, go to Suehiro or No Coast for proper dynamite shrimp. The dynamite was probably the worst offender. What respectful oriental restaurant puts iceberg lettuce and tomatoes as a side? This is the first I’ve ever seen of that. Take my advice and go to a better restaurant as this is a waste of money. I’ll try again in a year and update accordingly.

Ginger is a good place to get some Asian food. It's not your usual, small corner-store Chinese food place. It's spacious (as it seems converted from the surrounding business park) and is well decorated. The food is good: it seems similar to any other Asian restaurant's food, but I think the presentation is better. Also I'm glad for some variety: Ginger offers Vietnamese and Thai food, aside from your usual Chinese. We ordered: orange chicken, chicken lo mein, sweet and sour chicken and a Thai Massaman curry. The server was nice, pleasant and attentive. The restrooms are large and clean. Do drop by Ginger Oriental Restaurant for a good Asian meal.

My wife and I have gone out to this resturant frequently and the service were very good. There were three women who were the waitress and they were incredible. This woman, I forget her name, was our favorite wait staff. She was very friendly and has always remember our orders what we wanted for lunch and dinner. She claimed that we were her favorite customers.

Until now...... it appeared that there were some new staff and maybe new cooks in the kitchen?. We had a guy who were our server and we were not feeling comfortable with. That guy with glasses who is tall and his hair looked like a wig? He was VERY rude and he tapped on the menu hard. Also, he won't allow my wife what she wanted after she ordered. She can't have any spicy on the food. He said NO. MUST HAVE SPICY ON THE FOOD. So, instead, my wife ordered a different one. He slammed a mini tray of payment with fortune cookies on the table. We do not appreciate his attitude like that. He doesn't deserve to get a tip from us. Nope.

Looks like the new owner who has bought this restaurant and looks like we won't see our favorite waitress anymore? I'm very disappointed.

Food on other hands, they were pretty good. We didn't have any problem with our orders.

So, we are not sure if we'll come back again... :-( That makes me so sad that we won't see our favorite...

This was our favorite place to eat after a movie however the male manager was incredibly rude and disrespectful. There was no signage with hours indicating early closing, nor was a comment made upon greeting us at the door. Approximately 3 minutes after being seated and drinks served, we were told that they close at 3pm, pointing to his wrist and said we need to hurry and order. The food came right out, soup first with appetizer prior to the main course giving us no time between dishes to enjoy the delicious meal. It was apparent we were being rushed with multiple comments "we're having lunch at 3:00 PM". The man delivered to go boxes soon after we began eating and presented the check, our time in the establishment was 20 minutes. Due to the level of urgency to have us vacate the establishment, we did not enjoy our meal and thus did not leave a tip. The man looked at the receipt and hurried around the corner scanning the table, returning asking if there was something wrong with the service and under his breath in his language made a commented as we opened the door to leave, hurriedly he locked the door behind us. I don't believe I'll be returning anytime soon and would not suggest this establishment on a Saturday afternoon, unless you are strictly...

It is tough deciding on a rating for this restaurant. On one hand the food has been (3 times that I have eaten here) truly the best Chinese food in Grand Junction that I have had. On the other hand, the staff was rude and incompetent when I visited this time (March 23, 2019). This is a huge turn off when you go in with family and just want a relaxing dining experience. The waitress did not even suggest getting a high chair or booster for us, even though we had a baby in our group. There was no possibility of substitutions to dishes even with an upcharge, which I would have gladly paid so that my wife could have what she would like. The waitress failed to bring any salads or soup that was ordered and came included in the meal. After waiting for these items, assuming she would bring them out, she quickly brought our entrees but didn't even stay long enough for me to ask about them. Again, the food was delicious, but the waitress and the rest of the staff stayed away from tables, not just ours, for the majority of the time I was there. Yet they would be joking and laughing with each other loud enough for us to hear them. I would say if you want the best tasting Chinese food in town, order from Ginger to go, and skip the frustrating dine...
