Don't go here for food, come here for the customer service and atmosphere. We ordered the vegan gyoza and shisitos. The gyoza had great filling but were fried in wonton wrappers instead of dough making them awkward and a good portion of it was flavorless crunchiness. Great sauce on the side. The shisitos were cooked perfectly with absolutely no sauce making them bland and dry. If you order these get a side of gyoza sauce with them otherwise they're not palatable. She had the phili vegan sushi and shitaki nigiri. The phili didn't have enough cream cheese to be a good roll but the shitaki nigiri was decent. Don't order the Ramen. Zero flavor except for periodic bites of ginger and the pork was overcooked to the point of being jerky-like. Had to put soy sauce in my broth to eat it and couldn't finish the noodles. Hope they make improvements as colorado deserves a place with good vegan options and they could truly succeed with decent fare.

Pretty good. I've lived in Japan for years, Hawaii, CA, OR and WA. Never had spicy Yellowtail that tasted fresher. It did have bones in it though - that's a first. The sauce for the calamari was too salty but the calamari strips were unique and good. Miso was ok but served up quick. The help was awesome! I never had to ask for more on my drink. This place went up two notches with me me when they started things off with a shibori though. Prices are just slightly above comparable places but I don't pay their bills and I'm sure they want to make money. Over all I'd give them an "A" but not quite 5 stars yet. FAST Forward 2 months- early August we went in and had a little different experience. Still good food but the cost for a hosomaki yellowtail roll is ridiculously high. TheWhite star roll is Good though. The fish tank is awesome 👍

We had a nice dinner at No Coast. The Goyza were excellent and clearly house made as was the Kimchi. The sushi was good. California roll and hand rolled spicy tuna roll which was not very spicy. IMO sushi should be warm rice with cold fish. The rice was cold. The miso soup starter was delicious and warming on a cold day. The Ramen with pork and egg was very good and the portion was large with a nice piece of grilled pork in the bowl. The manhattan was good and they had my favorite beer - Kirin Ichiban in the large bottle. Service was attentive and excellent. We will return.

Don't waste your time 😏...Suehiro is a far better option. There is a reason why Suehiro had a 45 minute wait and NO coast was half empty. The bill was $113. The food was worth $30. Hell....even Koi Ramen has better rolls. The rolls were poorly constructed and wouldn't stay together... almost needed a fork to eat. Portions were very small especially for the size of the bill. This was my second attempt with basically the same result. There are better sushi options in Junction...trust me.

Updated 2/22/23 From the establishment: Thank you for taking time for your review. We wish we could have solved these concerns while you were there. As your review posted on Sunday or Monday days that we are not open, it appears you waited to write this review, just as you waited to say anything at the time. We gladly work with customers and wish we could have made your experience better when you were here. We use premium fish and follow traditional Japanese guidelines of light rice - so the ingredients can be the center of the experience. We understand that some people prefer bigger rolls with more rice and filler ingredients and we are glad you have other dining options as well.

My response... Dear sir or mam. ....I waited 2 days to make my review for these 2 reasons. #1.....I don't do well with confrontation and just assume pay the bill before getting into a heated discussion over being less than satisfied with the service or goods. #2.....I wanted to write my review after I had had time to reflect on the experience instead of working from a place of emotion.

Grow up....if you can't handle criticism while providing service to the public then go back to whatever it was you were doing before you decided that a restauranteur was the A plan...

Short story: This place sucks. Long story: I'm fairly new to grand junction and decided to try no coast. To say I was disappointed is a huge understatement. The place was dirty, with grime and dead bugs on the floor (God knows what's going on in the kitchen). The hostess/bartender didn't seem to know what she was doing. The servers are nice but are all super young and can't really describe any of the drinks cause they can't taste them, and they just all seemed distracted. I think it's a bad look not to have ANY experienced servers at a supposedly high end place. Our food took forever to come out. It got so bad I think our server was avoiding us because she didn't know what to say, which isn't her fault but come on. I get the place was busy but an appetizer shouldn't take nearly as long to make as the sushi. On thag note, the sushi was alright but a little dry. Heard this place had the freshest sushi in town but it barely tasted better than the grocery store sushi. Plus its super expensive. On our way out we overheard the chefs joking and slurring and it sounded like they were drunk. Makes sense why the food took forever and tasted not that great. Overall a horrible experience. I don't usually write reviews but I just tried Suhiros downtown and it was so much better, I felt compelled to write this in hope someone sees and makes the right decision to go...

I can't believe people pay money to eat here! I went with some co-workers a couple of weeks ago. We were all really hungry and worried about the wait because it looked busy. Not to worry, the hostess said a table was opening up and it wouldn't be more than 10-15 minutes, so we waited.

1 hour and 15 minutes later we finally got the table promised to us an hour earlier. It was all downhill from there. We had to wait awhile for water, they kept asking us if we wanted alcohol over and over.

Then we ordered. I ordered a dish that went well with brown rice, and they brought out my dish with white rice. When I asked, the waitress said they were out of brown rice. OUT OF BROWN RICE?!?!?!? When I worked at an Asian restaurant if we ran out of something important someone would go to the nearest grocery store to pick it up. Not at No Coast Sushi, they just serve you whatever crap they have lying around. I would have changed my order if I knew there wasn't any brown rice in a Sushi restaurant.

As someone who worked in restaurants for years, including a Sushi/Hibachi place, I can tell you the culprit here is poor management. I would avoid this place like the plague. Thanks for a $65 dinner that wasn't what I ordered hours after it was promised to me. Needless to say, I won't be going back to this poor excuse for...
