We were on our way back home from a road trip. We had an airbnb booked in Grand Junction and were looking for somewhere to eat. After some searching we stumbled upon Thai Number 9, and man are we glad we did! We walked in just as the restaurant was shifting from lunch to dinner and had the whole place practically to ourselves (it started to pick up as we were leaving and a lot of take out orders were picked up throughout our meal). The service was amazing! The lady running things was very funny and made you feel like you were eating at home rather than a restaurant. We ordered the Green Curry and Beef Pad Thai for dinner- both were very delicious. The Pad Thai came with a side of Jasmine rice which was perfectly done. We also got Thai Teas to drink and they are by far the best we have ever tasted. Hats off to Thai Number 9, Chicago Thai places have nothing on you!

Best Thai food in town. Friendly staff, good prices and authentic food. It's soooooo good! So far I've tried the red curry, yellow curry and masseman curry and the are all incredible - you can choose between mid, medium and hot. I always do the medium and it has a decent kick. The pad thai is amazing. Recently, I've tried veggie stir fry with pork and sweet and sour thai stir fry with chicken and they are both excellent. Dishes with shrimp is a couple dollars extra. They have THE BEST peanut sauce I've ever tried and the summer rolls dipped in the sauce is to die for! Also, you have to try the thai tea is super tasty. Everything on her menu is made to order so NO SUBSTITUTIONS. I actually love that but if you're a picky eater this might not be the best place for you. They are closed Sunday and Monday.

Awesome Thai place in Grand Junction area. Owner and cook are real Thai. - Tom yum goong (shrimp), medium has quit a kick. But flavorful and the $20 comes with 6 big shrimps. - Pad thai is indeed easily top 5 we have had and we are picky. Standard is not spicy, mildly tangy, sweet, salty. Perfect balance - drunken noodles i went a bit far and ordered spicy. It was good but i was sweating a bit. I would say their medium is spicy for others, their spicy is a little put of this world. - pad prik mold was good. Even it had a small kick. Owner is super nice and kind. Food is great. Priced a little toward Denver menu prices, but maybe Grand Junction is also expensive to eat out. So glad to find a nice Thai restaurant in GJ.

I really don't like giving bad reviews, but when real life experience is the complete opposite of (many) online reviews, then I have to write something.

Ordered red curries. What we got was quite possibly the worst red curry I've ever had. There was none of the richness and depth of what I expect from a red curry. It was quite bitter and was borderline not edible. There was no detectable base of coconut milk, there was no subtle sweetness that I'm used to, I'm not even sure if there was a taste of red curry at all, and it was pretty runny even after managing to fit the rice in. There were few vegetables and the bamboo shoots either were poor quality, or covered by whatever was used to make the curry. The size of the bowl was abnormally small (compared to basically any Thai restaurant I've been to), which made mixing with the rice really difficult, and thus made balancing the dish really difficult. With a restaurant that has native Thai owners/workers, I would expect more. On a side note, their spice level is probably at least a half step to a full step stronger than most restaurants I've been to. Be aware...
